Thanks for this wonderful video on the psychology. It will help a lot of my students and patients. I love working out, myself and I hope, also our culture in Germany will sooner or later get a better take on the hypertrophy and strength training stereotype. One thing, thoug: With ALL due respect to Dr. Mike, from whom I got greatly inspired the past year -- and who significantly changed my life to the better. I have to say: Every time he talks about genomics revolution and the probably upcoming "exercise PILL" that gives you muscle and sloth-/productive time, he also GREATLY underestimates the time this will take to develop. It's NOT going to happen THAT QUICK. I'm sorry, this is delusional. For a superintelligent AGI, we lack the power generating capability in the near future, you can't opt out for that route, either. No, man, I appreciate the kinesiology, the sports physiology to the MAX, but "making progress" topics often is the kind of topic that makes me wanna say "stay in your lane" in the most respectful way possible.

25:00 Can we say without offending the feminists that mostly MEN like directionality... it's been my experience training young men that I give them a TENTATIVE goal for the month, and they do all they can to achieve it, woman smile and go through the motions but the EFFORT to lift those ten MORE pounds for the month can or cannot be achieved and they are still ok and happy with the motion, the movement. The boys' faces and happiness, tired, when they complete that final set of a true 8 rep weight, is priceless, I pat them hard on the back and they just breathe and smile.

@@FeralPhilosophy_mw Oh, my girl's black and it's an endless argument between me and her between how Black folks are just genetically gifted with Type 2 Muscle Fibers and therefore dominate all sports related viz Bodybuilding, Sprinting etc etc. And she just doesn't want to believe me. She trains very hard but not smart at all. I'm talking like 30-60 s rest between sets, doesn't understand periodization, hasn't ever changed her program in the past 10 years it seems and has always done a bro split. She also never tracks her cals and eats good 5/7 days (which is still great for gen pop but as someone that enjoys Bodybuilding as a hobby, me, I can't get close to optimal results without going all in 7 ish days.) Anyways, despite me explaining to her how almost every Olympia winner is black with the odd white bro sprinkled here and there, and showing her every sprinter on planet earth being black, she just never concedes. I am going to play this part of the clip for her and see what her reaction is...

Mike thinking he knows everything again.... He literally just said if you spend 8 hours in a day working in a factory you don't come home with anxiety as a result of the physical labor.. So that means everyone that works in a factory or a manual labor job is free of anxiety? Absolute nonsense stay in your lane

Exercise or other physical activity can relieve anxiety. That was his point. Your silly comment left out all his reasoning of the statement.
