I had a hydraulic top & side link installed on my wife's 1250 Massey way back in 97, (I got her this tractor as a Valentine's day present, and yes, we're still married ;-). Best money we ever spent!!! Not only is it easier to attach equipment, being able to make adjustments on the fly while grading our 1.1 mile gravel driveway here in western NC is HUGE!!! You'll definitely enjoy this upgrade :-)

You don't need plummers tape on hydraulic fittngs, because they rely on the tapered flares or sometimes dowty washers

Made my own years ago so I could load round bales on a wagon with a 3pt hitch bale spear on a ford 860 tractor. Easiest way to load round bales that I have found.

I'm just getting into hydraulics myself because, like you, I bought an older tractor. That said, I thing you are missing a check valve for your grizzly so that when you park it in the up position you don't get drift downward.

The tape is always a good idea but you really should use oil resistant tape, it comes in the yellow roll. Great video by the way

Wow that top link is only $300.00 I remember when they were way more then then that I’m definitely getting one of those although I don’t have rear remotes. I have a 1969 Ford 4000 I think and I see where you put rear remotes on your so I’m going to look into getting one of those to

Sometimes it doesn’t matter how much we value our time it simply boils down to a job that’s it of reach of our resources and ability’s. I don’t do a lot of my repairs for that very reason. It would be even worse if I needed the time to make and sell videos on utube.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to refer to that worn out mower as a brush hog. It looks like if you use it on brush it will fall apart.

Oh, man! Don't use your tractor hood as a workbench!!! And whatever you do, don't crawl under a bush hog, or any implement for that matter, that is supported only by the hydraulics of the tractor, unless you have jack stands or some kind of blocking to hold the weight of the implement so it can't drop on you.
