The male ego is a fragile, fragile thing. This "father" is so caught up in being the MAN OF THE, HOUSE he can't see how he's actually acting like a little boy. Brando is actually more of a man than he is. And the fact that a woman, a BLACK woman, is in his house and telling him that his behaviour is wrong is eating him. So, so sad!!

They are those children he didn’t say it in a disrespectful manner, they aren’t his biological children 🤷🏽♀️ sometimes Iyanla comes across as condescending and rude! You can’t help if you are biased! The father was not wrong, she said she felt disrespected but she never acknowledged that she made him feel disrespected! He apologized yet Iyanla never did, it doesn’t matter your credentials you must respect others to get respect!!! She was manipulative and disrespectful!
@Daya18283 жыл бұрын
@@lateshajohnson3622 true, he didn’t say it disrespectfully, but he said it twice and he did say it matter of factly- like he has said it many times to himself. Too many times for him not to remember that he JUST said it. To me, it speaks to the grave issue of his mental roadblocks concerning his position in the family and maybe the confusion of taking care of children that aren’t his with little to no support (of him) from a wife that is disrespectful because she feels that she has been cheated on. I’m glad Iyanla caught it and brought it to his CONSCIOUSNESS. Otherwise, he would still be living/dying in a fake marriage going Thru the motions for the sake of… saving face?
@Daya18283 жыл бұрын
@@lateshajohnson3622 i think you’re looking at it from the vantage point of fact, and I agree with you there - they aren’t his children. However, it’s a cognition issue if he isn’t aware that he believes that subconsciously and is suppressing it and acting on it but not aware that he is consciously. That’s a very deep issue that needs to be drawn out. Iyanla fixes problems and they call her. She speaks to the ROOT of their issues. If they want to get coddled, don’t call her - and they know their choice before they call her.
@Daya18283 жыл бұрын
@@lateshajohnson3622 and she wasn’t biased by any means at all. I actually think the father is racist or has deep rooted racist issues, because he projected a lot of prejudiced stereotypical bias into Iyanla and she actually chose to not harp on it. When Mike said he felt attacked and that Iyanla was trying to turn a man into a “feely” creature…what he meant to say is he hasn’t learned to be vulnerable and I’m guessing that he was raised to believe that a man doesn’t cry or deal with raw feelings. So many men have been lied to. And a lot of their parents didn’t know any better and were just passing down what they learned. Side note: Since we are made in the image of God, that means He cries, gets angry, scared, feels rejected and betrayed and every emotion we all have. So that means it’s ok to feel! 🤷🏽♀️ Good luck to this family. It’s very repairable ❤️

He said " I'm doing the best I can ", but obviously the best he can do isn't good enough, but the kids are telling him how to be better but he doesn't hear that because he's distracted by being defensive .

Boy, she doesn't need a rating from you. You are a controlling person and own up to it. Nicole, take your children run so that you all can be happy.
