Soon as someone says calories in calories out doesn’t workDo you know that they have zero credibility no matter how good they are and everything else. If he’s not smart enough to know that the calories out portion can be adjusted with hormones and therefore calories in calories out always works then what can you actually trust from this person.
@Editor_Steve
@Editor_Steve 3 жыл бұрын
Calories in stays the same. But weight goes up? Oh dear...Pubmed after 2005 says CICO doesn't work? NO. Pubmed says that calories out must have dropped. The equation doesn't change. As studies evolve all that evolves is we find more on more confounding variables that influence both sides of the equation. The equation that doesn't change.
@helios4425

Are all calories treated the same by the body? Or Would 2,000 daily calories of soda and candy affect a person in the same way 2,000 daily calories of prime rib?
@Editor_Steve
@Editor_Steve 3 жыл бұрын
@@burkelanthorn4769 yes. Just like my response said, when u tweak the variables you tweak the outputs of equation. The body doesn't use them the same therefore calories out changes. Types of macros are just 1 more confounder, along with hormones, gender height age cortisol, sleep and so on. The issue is those that present this simple knowledge present it in a way that has creates a never ending debate that should never have existed because the two sides say the same thing yet 1 side uses the evidence as "proof" calories in calories out isn't true. When they've done nothing of the sort.

I've heard part of this before about dopamine and light at night around 10, and it just clicked. I literally went through extreme depression while I was I Iraq, and there were factors I thought were responsible, but it was like, I dealt with stuff like that before, and I came through it, so what gives? Besides literally having no days off for 9 months straight, plus having to stay up 3 days at a time, multiple times, my main shift was the damn night shift. Literally in bright light that entire time. Looks like I need to go to bed before I can finish this. I gotta take this stuff more seriously. Thank God I'm hearing this.

If anyone is wondering, And Y question on why he was tired after getting caught in the rain, its because water conducts heat 20 times better than air. So especially if you are unprepared with clothing, you would be losing heat at 2000% the rate you normally would. And this is discounting the fact that cotton when wet not only doesnt provide any insulation, it provides negative insulation (which is why cotton is so great in the summer, it absorbs sweat and cools you faster than if you were naked). So if you were to be wearing a cotton T shirt it would be even more than that. So the answer is thermoregulation. You are burning far more calories than normal in an effort to maintain body temperature. Especially because this is a trigger evolutionarily, as hypothermia is one of the greatest threats to an animal like us without any natural thermal protection.

1) How many people actually weigh all their food to the gram and are dead on with calorie intake? 2) How many people weigh themselves daily to track scale trend based on their calorie intake to find true maintenance? The answer to both is not many. People tend to guesstimate their calorie intake and use BMR online formulas with activity multipliers to guess their maintenance. If someone actually weighs all their food, and establishes their true maintenance, they will lose weight on a deficit. It's that simple. If they're not losing weight it always comes back to user error.

Concerning the question about young guys on test. I am 19, ultra symptomatic with 314 ng/dl. The sad part about demonizing test is that young guys like me get dismissed by doctors and we get prescribed ssri's when testosterone is clearly the issue, and ssri's have been shown to worsen hypogonadism related symptoms.

Since I tapered off, Ive lost all my energy and sex drive, gained fat and lost muscle. As well as became severely depressed the past few weeks. My life feels like it has gone downhill quickly in every facet. Now that ive done more research, I now realize I should have just continued to do a small weekly dose indefinitely. I took my first shot in 2 months last night and plan to just continue to use weekly as a permanent supplement.
