So much I admire your watercolor skills, which I wish that I could better emulate. Water and brush control is so challenging for this watercolor neophyte. The butterfly tutorial here is wonderful and combines spontaneity and some technical savvy. I am appreciative. Thank you.

Hullo Emily, I enjoyed watching you create this lovely butterfly painting! I might have a small issue with the “splatter” technique. I have seen it become a more acceptable way to create an easy background. I had a painting ripped off my board in college when I tried the same technique. The instructor said “you are here to learn how to create fine art if your desire is folk art or clumsy bargain basement painting, find another class!” So I have always avoided the splatter backgrounds. I will say you do you! Thank you for sharing this sweet video with us.
