It's the programming wire you're not supposed to ride with the programming wire attached otherwise the bike will shut off after a few minutes I don't think these guys know what they're doing.

I'm pretty sure that extra piece is only used when you need to troubleshoot on the battery. I never used mine and it runs great.

Well, yeah, it does decrease range because you're using more battery power to go faster, and you can probably add a switch with it

Ok I did the green wire cut and it does exactly 50mph on the flat but on a steep downhill it still only does 50mph. It feels governed. Can it be unregulated more. Regen is disabled and I have the belt drive. Maybe a smaller rear sprocket, but I’m sure that’s probably not available nor the belt.

should be the same wire, the green and black looped wire, hidden inside the wiring harness usually. You may need to open the jacket/sleeve to find it.

Yes, woks the same way. Youth edition speed will be increased from 25 to 32 on eco and sport will be unleashed to 50 km

Hello. Yes, It does remove the speed limiter and increases the speed from 45km/hr to 80km/hr.

@@epiccycles9 i just did it myself and nothing changed... speedometer said 76 km/hr for sport mode before and after cutting the green wire when the back wheel was spinning freely. is the stock speedometer wrong?

Hello, At the moment electric kick scooters are not legal to be driven within the city of Toronto particularly, but are currently legal in most other regions of Ontario. Why did you put the pig tail wire in ? No need too. You actually dont even have to cut the green wire. Turn on switch, pull front brake 6 times then hold for 5 sec on 7th pull. That will allow you to hit top speed ( around 47-50)

For those at home use a hair dryer or heat gun to shrink your heat wrapping. Holding an open flame near rechargeable batteries can be pretty dangerous, not to mention damage to components.

Tiny open flame 4 feet from sealed batteries , nah , I instead choose the safer route of blasting those sealed batteries with 700+ degrees of direct heat as I seal my wraps ! Be a smarty pants , cook your batteries !

Electric vehicle tech here. You're probably talking about lead acid batteries which release hydrogen sulfide if overcharged. Hydrogen sulfide is flammable. Open flame near Lithium poses little risk, we solder with open flame on large cables regularly.

@@bsmtv2974 I like the bike. I've had it for about a month and I'd just like it to go abit faster. It charges pretty fast but I usually stress on where I can publicly charge the bike. I do abit of downhill longboarding so im use to the 30 mph speed. I'm not sure how to upgrade the speed or whatnot but I'll let you know when I do. First thing to upgrade would be the brake pads.

Eliot Garcia you can google different controllers which i think are compatible with the x160 but i have no idea on where to find out how to replace it but it’s possible i think. also i think the bike is too new but i wanna buy it. i don’t wanna spend $5000 to go 10 mph faster i feel like this bike can go this speed
