It's excellent!!! I followed every instruction and it worked. I only have one problem, and it's not with this mod. Some factions, like the mongols, or the russians, polish and hungarians, dont talk. They say nothing in the whole game, do you kmow how to fix this? Thank you very much

Is it possible to alter the script so they spawn turn 1 as a playable horde? Probably quite a bit tougher though. Hordes were not meant to be playable in this game for some reason, though I have seen plenty of mods do it anyway.

This system was simply easier to implement but I'll have a look at this again and see if there's a simple enough way to do that!

I'm not sure that there is a max character limit. But it does have to be from the name list in the files. This can be edited, but is oddly fiddly.

I followed everything as per the video, but seeing the other video in teutonic kingdoms in export_descr_building I added the Timurids and the Mongols to recruit the imam but it doesn't work for me

I was doing everything exactly as you did right before the upkeep part. I tried to test to see if what I have done works. None of it works; when I try to play as any faction it brings me back to the singleplayer menu. Is it maybe a mistake in spacing or something else? I did what you said to do in the basic modding guide video. (edit) I got it to work now.

@@Carlitossssss-u8l I know it is tedious and annoying but it works. You just have to follow the tutorial to be able to mod the game like he mentions in the video and then the tutorial itself. One small spacing mistake could fuck it all up. I wish you well and hope you can bring all of Europe under the rule of the Khan.

Getting the Mongols to appear is simple as all you have to do is cut and paste them for nonplayable to playable; but I'm having the same problem as you with starting the campaign. I get sent back to the singleplayer menu every time.

@@ariaabedini82 The problem is in one of the first comments from Gunefy above. You have to delete Tbilisi (sp?) from the control of the slave faction. Then it works. But I have not been able to recruit any imams except for the first one in the tutorial.

(Edit: Ok, imams are now recruitable for me after reloading. I don't know what changed.) One question - how to make Mongol imams recruitable? I've got the starter imam as your guide advised. However, despite building masjids it tells me "agent limit reached". I did edit the descr_buildings.text, adding the Mongols to the recruitable list (agent priest 0 requires factions { egypt, moors, turks, mongols, timurids, }) for both cities and castles. This hasn't worked. Thanks very much for guide as well. Everything works as you describled (am using Steam Definitive Edition) from following your guide. I'm having a lot of fun despite no imams (edit: I do now have imams).

Often the best suggestion here is to replace the file with your back up and have another go. It can be impossibly difficult to figure out what little bit of coding is making the game crash. Hopefully it works second time around!

I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of changing the date in descr_strat. I'll have to check when I'm home but I recal that near the top it says 'start date 1080'. So simply change that methinks. Not sure if it will have other knock on effects but it should work. Does in rome tw.

I responded to your other comment but will repeat it here. Hope it helps: Delete the descr_strat file and replace it with a back up (assuming you kept one). Try again - it's a minor change, it shouldn't cause any instability assuming the coding is precise. The most common error is an extra hit of the space bar or a line missing here or there; almost certainly it is something very small.
