Not everyone should be listened to when it comes to dawah. Be mindful. When the host asked a clear question about pondering on the verse of the quran which Allah Himself has made the Qur'an easy to understand, the Uztaz was confused and kept asking "what do you mean by pondering?" Be careful who you decide to listen to about the Deen, or the Book of Allah. Qur'an 54:17 - Allah says He will make the Qur'an easy to learn and understand

Apply this to yourself first. We have the Sunnah to aid our understanding of the Qur'an for a very good reason. We aren't christians or jews that cherry pick verses and apply blanket rulings.

@@spawnnpwn4166 I get you, but what do you think Allah means by "ponder?" Remember that the Qur'an came in bits in conditional times to aid us along the way during similar moments. Listening to Imams that tells you not to ponder but to seek from another Imam first before pondering is a different level of either being deceived or guided since you don't seem to think for yourself, excuse me .

@@sheriffsaani2041 Why are you so confident that your suggestion holds more weight than ARH? If you're asking others to adopt your approach to what Allah means with regards to "ponder", why is it wrong for ARH to do the same? There is a very sound reason behind his suggestion. It is to stop people from interpreting in a way that overrides the understanding of the Salaf.

Circumstances arrives and you remember a verse from Allah that says we should be patient, do i still need to contact a shiekh to understand what Allah is saying to me through remembrance at that moment? Don't be too matopic on topics like this. By the way, the Qur'an verses is categorised into two, thus, "easy to understand verses" and "thought provoking verses(i.e ambiguous verses)". Hey brother, do I need a sheikh to interpret Qur'an 54:17?
