From what I’ve seen, 5th gen fighters tend ro have excellent AoA characteristics, even the the F-35 it doesn’t have tvc or the canard configuration like the SU-37 (except the delta canard config), it could perform some insane AoA, even some post stall maneuver.

@thinhnguyenduy409911 ай бұрын
@@WSlopeAggie bigger control surfaces have better control authority, you can move them less to control the aircraft, so it means less impact on the fighter’s rcs. A very interesting design for a multi-roll stealth plane! However, I am curious why you chose the less stealthly diverter style inlets as opposed to the divertless “bulge” system used by the F-35.
@messier82ac11 ай бұрын
The "Bulge" In the F-35 is known as a diverterless supersonic inlet. They vastly improve intake volume at low speeds and high AoA over an intake with a diverter but aren't inherently "more stealthy" than any other stealth intake. (For example, the F-35 has a -30 frontal dBsM while the F-22, with diverters, has -40). While I wanted to do one, it would just end up looking even MORE like an F-35, which I was already getting complaints about, so I decided not to.

@@messier82ac doesn't the splitter plate cause stealth issues with the radar bouncing around in the gap between the intake and the fuselage?

They should somehow store stealth jets in the space in a vacuum so they wouldnt need as much maintenance. And the when it needs to be used get a pilot in there from the soace or something and just launch it back to earth. But if a pilot was in space in 0 gravity, going instantly to 8Gs wouldn’t be good. Unless the astronaut was in a soinning satellite that had 1G in it
@LtPulsar9 ай бұрын
That's a very... creative idea. It however, would most likely complicate things far more than you anticipate. For one, space requires radiation hardening, cosmic radiation in space is not only harmful to living creatures, but also sensitive electronics such as are found in avionics and guidance systems. Secondly, re-entry is massively taxing on an airframe, requiring expensive, heavy and maintenance-demanding heat shielding, which is likely incompatible with the RAM coating used to make the aircraft less visible to stealth. Not to mention that anything that just underwent re-entry would stick out like a sore thumb on infra-red sensors, being extremely hot. Plus, the logistical issues of actually getting planes, pilots, replacement parts and ordnance up to orbit are prohibitive in the extreme. We can barely get enough tonnage to orbit to do simple research right now, let alone station and staff an entire airbase. All that said, the idea sounds awesome in concept, dropping a plane out of orbit to ruin someone's day. It definitely satisfies the rule of cool.

10:15 about here happened a small misunderstanding. the circle In theory is the perfect stealth shape because looking straight ahead it perfectly splits the radar wave into obscurity. but if its just a bit off it wont work. the opposite works with the triangle pretty much. if hit head on the dot then it will reflect straight back to you but rest of the angles ends up just reflecting the beam away from the radar.
@user-pk3eo6pq6m11 ай бұрын
after a 2 hour break I watched the rest and like 24:04 I am assuming you are joking but like. no that can't be done it compromises the stealthiness. in a plane like F-22 the "camo" is just the paint crisping up over time. and roundels and such is left for lead aircrafts. but you can most likely change the material's component's a little bit to give a slightly different color and to help break up some radar waves into smaller individual waves.

Maybe you could try to make a stealth tilt rotor aircraft to supply the LF27 or give fire support for it, like how lazerlink works on most aircraft doing CAS or SEAD, that would be really cool. The tiltrotor would also be a multirole as it could get outfitted with weaponry, while maybe having somewhat of a cargo bay for ammunition or supplies. OR maybe I'm just biased towards the Osprey and would love to see your opinion on this lol

What would happen if you designed a plane with a backward sloping canard and a foward sloping wing that were tied together with turbulence generators on the vertical connectors? Also instead of angling the weapons carriers downward and ejecting forwards, let them slide out the back between the engines. Would that make them any less radar visible? Interesting stuff for an old Vietnam era air winger, thinki F4 Phantom.
