Bro, there is a lot to be said about doing that on a kayak. I took my boat out there the other day for a crab and a quick trawl at some tailor. Like for you it took some effort and persistence but it cost me close to $50 in fuel - two good crabs. You on the other hand lay out less on the kayak compared to a boat and enjoy the exercise and have no fuel/engine/rego costs. Perfect.

That's cool man and I'm just talking from experience as well. It's interesting that despite a decent number of additional professional licenses back then the rules were only tightened to five crabs per person more recently on a perceived increase in pressure.
