Don't you think that this form of keeping track of the journey will be the next style of photo book? It gives the very personal point of view, it is intimate, with a lot of information. It give way more information about a trip than the photo book itself. It gives the viewer almost the exact experience as the photographer itself. It can be very interesting.

Can't believe I missed this episode. I know the white gel pen is great . I have to try harder to write . But I do keep small diaries A4 and A5 size but photos only from my trips , I've been doing it regularly since 2016 , ncludes street and landscape. No writing though I have to get better at that , I just find it so hard. Oh and I have an instax printer finally and I love it 😊

Great idea to use the mini printer to add images in real time to the journal. What adhesive are you using to glue them into the journal? I’ve found that glue sticks dry out over time. Thank you. Great series of interviews with Dan who has inspired me to add photos to my travel journals.

I use Krylon High Strength Spray Adhesive. I have mounted large pieces of artwork using this spary, and the bond is still good 25 years later.

I'm more of a desktop publishing fan. So I will most likely compose my text in the field/studio using my smart phone. Later, I will integrate the text into Microsoft Word. This program allows me to add graphics wherever I might need them. One of the strengths of Word is its capacity for nearly unlimited editing and storage. (I will not have piles of journals lying around unread.) When needed, I can always print out the entire journal or portions thereof.
