Excellent interview! Thank you. In early 2001, the Director I worked for took me to one of Donald Trumps’s golf courses in Northern California for lunch. On the dining room walls were all these covers of Time, Newsweek, Forbes magazine with Donald on the covers. They looked kinda sketchy not the level of covers these magazines usually have (before Photoshop was what it is now). I said wait, I subscribe to these magazines and Trump has not been on the cover during this time. I wrote down the dates, went home and found the issues, Trump was not the cover nor was he mentioned. He was perpetuating his big lie he was this massive success by creating bogus magazine covers touting his success. The amount of covers in the dining room at his golf course was abundant and obnoxious, and a total fabrication. And he continues the big lie to perpetuate his big grift. The harder he tries to build up this facade makes me ask, what is he trying to hide. World leaders see him as someone easily manipulated if they play to his enormous ego, and that’s why he is such a very real danger to our democracy.

There was enough information out there to show he's a con. His entire life of stealing money, meant for people that worked for him. Even his sister went public about him trying to coerce his sick father, to sign their inheritance over to him. It certainly didn't matter to republicans, and independents, that he had a fake charity, that literally stole money meant for children, sick with cancer. It didn't matter that he had defrauded many, thru his fake university either. It also didn't matter to them, that he's been a drug addict since at least the 1970's. Those are more than just red flags. Those are bombs.

It seems brushed under the rug and to this day the facts, to the extent there are any, seem to be extremely vague and and imo there is an astounding absence of curiosity from either those who supposedly have oversight over these things that work in government nor from any investigative journalism whose role is to inform the public especially when it's something so pertinent to so many aspects of our politics/zeightgeist/culture but also for national security, diplomatic relations, ethics, and everything in between.
