Loved watching your labor story! I could so relate as I gave birth just 3 days before you!! Our little one wasn't due until May 11th, and we had a csection scheduled for May 6th (my 5th csection). We didn't know Baby's gender either. We had at the time 6 girls and 1 boy (3 of our girls are adopted through foster care) so we were REALLY hoping for another boy! On Thursday, April 25 i had 2 appointments, one with my gestational diabetes specialist and a growth scan ultrasound for Baby. Told my doctor I felt a little crampy that morning, but nothing else. That day hubby picked up the carseat and I finished packing our hospital bags. We went to bed and Hubby said he thought at first I would go early, but he didn't think I would anymore. Baby was listening ;-) at 2 am with zero anything happening, no contractions, nothing I was lying in bed ready to get up to go to the bathroom and I felt like Baby jumped, then my water broke!! I yelled for hubby to get a towel while he was sleeping. I said it again and he jumped out of bed. He called the hospital and his mom to come over to watch our other children. She and their family had just been to the midnight showing of the new Avengers movie, so they had JUST gotten home. Thankfully no contractions started until we were on our way to the hospital, which is a 30 minute drive. My doctor was supposed to be gone for our delivery too, but since we went early, she happened to be the doctor on call!! As soon as we arrived they started prepping for surgery. I also was very calm due to focusing on breathing. It's not something I planned, it just felt right. I was a little scared this time around for the surgery.. hubby prayed as well before we went in. The anesthesia scared me and they had trouble administering it. The surgery was a lot different than I remember. It seemed to take FOREVER!! Once Baby was out they let my husband look and see and call out the gender... it was a BOY!!! We both cried!! Thankfully this was also the first time we've ever gotten to do skin to skin after the surgery. They handed him right to me over the screen. Before they always took the baby right away and started cleaning, weighing, whatever else they do and I just had to watch across the room. I felt the bond immediately which I've never had.. I feel like I got robbed from that with my other babies. I'm so glad I had our son to hold as a distraction because the finishing up took forever and it was very uncomfortable. Baby peed on me 2 times while skin to skin 😅 he was born at 5:08am on Friday, April 26th. I was 37w 6d along. I'm SO glad he came when he did instead of according to our plans. God's timing was WAY better!! His name is Henrik Robert, he weighed 7lbs 6oz and was 21 inches long. He's perfect!! :-D thanks for sharing your story and for asking us to share ours!! ♡♡♡

I think it's quite normal not to feel that instant connection with your baby. I didn't when I held my son in my arms. It took a good week to feel that intensity you've described. He's now 6 months and he is my entire world. Love your videos, it's great that you've had a positive birth.. a lot of people wants to focus on the negative side of it. Mine was 22 hours, had to have stitching as was cut and it took 5/6 weeks for me to heal properly but I still consider it quite positive 😁🤷🏻‍♀️

I was wondering how you stayed so calm! My experience was *much* different.. I was induced, and couldn't push him out for so long. I almost gave up until my husband showed me his head and that gave me the strength to keep going 💕 it was traumatic for me, my whole face was swollen - I wasn't doing anything right. In the end, seeing my baby boy and holding him for the first time was absolutely the best moment of my life. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Someday I hope to, and do it right!!! 💕 Much love to you all 🧡

I’m so happy for you guys and I’m so happy I found your channel when I did! As an expecting first-time mom, your videos have been such an encouraging message for me through out my pregnancy. I’m 27 weeks and throughout this process alot of people I know personally have continuously painted a negative, scary picture for me about pregnancy and child birth. So it was extremely relieving to find your channel and to see your positive mindset on the topics I had been really worried about. I’m so much more comfortable with everything that could happen and the possibilities of my pregnancy and child birth thanks to your stories and videos. My entire perception has been changed thanks to you and a few other great mom-tubers on this platform. Your videos really do make a difference and my husband is also super grateful that I’m not constantly worried anymore. So thank you so much to your entire family for all the videos and content you guys provide!

Thank you for sharing! Currently 39w2d with my second babygirl (our first ist turning 2 soon too). My first labor and delivery was so similar to yours, also very short, fast and the midwives didn't take me seriously. They were like: your a first time mom, it will take long. They even left the room and my husband had to run out to get them back because as soon as they left I felt the urge to push, my water bulged and broke (it looked and felt like the head coming out and exploded), they came back and the head was already coming out then and with just a few pushes she was out, like half an hour after arriving at the hospital and having had the very first contraction 2 hours before. So this time around I am also preparing for a fast labor and looking out for signs to go in as soon as possible. I hope it goes as smoothly as yours, you made it look so easy!! Congrats to you and your lovely little family, it's so nice to watch you because I can relate so much :) love from Austria

Thank you so much for posting such a positive and beautiful video for expecting Mommies. When I was pregnant and looking for encouraging birth stories, there were none on KZbin. Everything was "My Terrifying Birth Story" or "My Baby Was Stuck"; needless to say, I was mortified and instructed all of my family and friends to ONLY share the positives in their birth stories. You are such a beautiful role model for young mother's and mothers to be.

My shortest labour was my daughter, I woke up in full labour and had her 30 mins later, my longest was my son he was 15 days late and my labour was 15 had to use the tens machine in my back to help with the pain and take my mind off it. Your baby is so cute and you look so well, God bless x

Your birth story sounds like every girls dream!! I was induced and ended up having to have a c section after 25 hours of labor and not being able to progress pass 7cm. I felt so out of control and not able to cope with the pain at all (definitely wished I had the idea to have someone count breaths with me). Honestly when they came in and said they would have to do c section, I was so ready to just get it over with. I had my daughter at 5:13pm and I got to see her probably around 8pm? It’s hard to remember everything because of all the medication and craziness. Before giving birth I was so against having a section or anything medicated, but you literally cannot plan for birth at all besides trying to ease your mindset. From my experience, it’s good to just let things happen. I’m so happy for you and your little family Delilah. Your videos helped inspire me during my pregnancy as a first time mom and made me so excited to become a mother. 🌸💗

My experience was similar to yours in that during the second time I was giving birth I felt super aware of what was going on around me, while the first time around I was just in my own little world. I think it’s because I was more calm the second time around since I knew more of what to expect. Loved hearing about your experience. ☺️

it's crazy how fast your labors are!!!! i have one daughter, she's 9 months old now.. i was terrified of labor for as long as i can remember lol i remember being so young & just thinking how horrible the pain must be.. fast forward to finally having my baby.. i was 38 weeks & 1 day & woke up totally normal.. went to the bathroom, next thing i know i had cramps & chills like crazy!! then i used the restroom just like you, my body was emptying itself (so glad too cause i didn't wanna poop during labor lol), realized i was in labor & contractions were less than 4 min apart, lasting almost a minute from the get-go! but they were bareable & i just breathed through them.. i drank a tea, ate a full breakfast, showered for the longest time, shaved & everything LOL, packed my hospital bag, & just chilled at home for about 8 hrs before i felt i needed to leave to the hospital.. i got checked around 6:30pm, was only 4cm dilated, went to walk for an hour, around 7:30pm got checked again & was 7cm dilated!! they had me run, literally run to the delivery room lol i laid in the bed with a peanut ball in between my legs, at 8:08 my water broke, which to me, was such a weird feeling & i panicked cause my husband had left to go get a camera & update his parents lol but he walked in seconds later, & good thing he did because 3 min after my water broke, my baby girl Amelia Rose was born at 8:11pm, after 2 pushes & practically no tearing.. God is so good, i had an amazing, unmedicated labor & birth experience, which was exactly what i prayed for! total it was less than 11 hrs... hoping the next one is faster & just as easy!!!!!

I just delivered my baby at 40w4d and you and I had almost the exact same experience! Very short labour, got to the hospital around 3 am and had the baby by 4:12, 4 pushes, controlled breathing through all my contractions, completely unmediated, only difference is that I had a water birth and my son was born with his bag of waters in tact! I loved hearing your story it was like I relived my night lol congrats !

I was induced and had a 24 hour labor and it was all back labor. I was begging for a c-section just to make it end. I did end up delivering natural. I am so thankful for people who have birth stories like yours that share. Usually all you hear are the horrible ones like mine that scare people from wanting to have kids in the first place.

I love hearing beautiful and positive birth stories! And I love watching your videos! After going into 41 wks with baby boy and trying to induce labor last year, he ended up getting delivered via c section. Getting induced was absolutely the worst experience ever. I was literally suffering and will likely never do that again. I'm hoping to do a VBAC for the next one and have the birth that I've always dreamed of. But if not, I can live vicariously through your births ♥️

Thank God for you and that you are an influencer in the way that you are because you are so relatable and encouraging and sweet. I was tearing up through this whole video because it made me believe in myself a little more, concerning my upcoming delivery in September. My first, last January, I went six days overdue and my husband and I went walking for DAYS trying to make me go into labor, which caused me to be in "pre-labor" (I think is what they called it) for about two days before they induced me at three or four in the morning (LONG story bc they usually do 10 pm inductions). I wanted to do it naturally SO BAD but I think I exhausted myself, so about four hours in when the contractions got intense and the doctor wanted to break my water, my mother-in-law told me it was going to be seven more hours before I was fully dilated and ready for delivery and I ended up asking for an epidural. But when I let go, stopped trying to breathe through the pain because the epidural was supposed to take care of the pain, that is when I really started feeling it. That's why this video encourages me so much, because I KNEW it had something to do with my work on breathing and relaxation, and now I really do know. Thank you so much. I always smile when I watch you and your family in your videos, since I discovered your channel when my son was about three months old. Praise God you had an awesome delivery and have such a wonderful baby and family. 💕

I'm so happy the birth turned out so well ❤ Congratulations, Theodore is adorable ❤ I totally understand the last month feeling soooo long, my experience was kinda similar. I had a feeling my daughter would come early, had this huge pressure and constant contractions on and off. I ended up being induced at 41 weeks, I was feeling so stressed and disappointed, I wasn't able to focus at all, I needed an epidural. Thankfully my labor didn't take too long, and baby was out after 15 mins of pushing. I remember it took me a few days to have reality sink in, having a baby is so surreal.

So sweet! We had very similar first births! My water broke at 12:30am, got to the hospital at 3:00am at 8cm (the nurse didn't think I was actually in labor until she checked me), barely time for an IV, I pushed for maybe 5-10 minutes and he came out in 1 push at 4:53am! Fingers crossed for a similar second birth if we are lucky enough to have another!

Yay!! Wow God was really with you guys 💕 My water broke at home while I was sleeping. It woke me up it was like a loud bang! I wasn't convinced for about 20 minutes tho. Labor and delivery totalled 17 hours. I went in at 4cm. 7hours later I was at 9cm and had been stuck there for 2 hours... Finally caved and got an epidural. 7 hours later I was finally at 10cm. Little over an hour of waiting for the dr. Almost 2 hours of pushing and the dr popping in and out. And then finally she was like "want this baby out?" And I'm like YES. And so my little guy was delivered w the help of forceps and was 9lbs even. My husband's job was to apply pressure to my back and hips during contractions and to calmly remind me to breathe "low and slow" and before I decided to get the epidural he said it and I just yell "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT" ... I lost control for a second l and then I was like omg I'm so sorry ! Lol

You are so blessed to have such an amazing birth! Mine was also good (and unmedicated!) but 24 hours with 2.5 hours of pushing... my muscles also felt dead after that 😂 It’s so great that you didn’t tear. I remember thinking that because pushing was taking so long for me, that I probably wouldn’t tear but I did. I also realized I’ll have to ask to see the placenta next time because they didn’t show it to me. I guess I just assumed everyone would want to see it haha! I also had a surprise gender birth and was so happy to have a little boy, but also didn’t feel a crazy connection right away. I was disappointed because everyone hyped up that moment and it just didn’t happen like that for me. Our bond has just gradually grown stronger over time!

I love little Theo! So sweet! Thanks for sharing this Delilah...praying that my new baby is delivered as quickly as you experienced. 😅 with my son, my first baby, my water broke at 8 a.m. and he was born by emergency C-section at 5 PM. I never actually got to feel any labor contractions because they gave me a bunch of drugs to try and induce the labor. I had to work through a lot of stuff emotionally afterwards, just with feeling like I was robbed of giving birth to my son or experiencing labor at all. But I would happily do it all over again! A healthy, happy baby boy is worth any kind of emotional scarring haha. 😉 He was 7 pounds and 19 in! In the end I realized that God was probably sparing me from a lot of physical pain and suffering from trying to deliver him, love! !😜

Thank you for making this video!!! Can’t wait to hear your after birth situation and how it was different from your first birth! I’m going to be going through labor very soon, and this was so helpful especially the prayer and breathing technique. My first birth was similar to yours but a bit longer and I’m hoping this one is shorter! God bless!

Hi! Watching from Denmark and i have really been enjoying your videos lately ❤ thank you for that fantastic birth story. I had my son a year ago at a midwife assited homebirth. Labour was long and slow but entirely managable since the intensity increased over such a long time. After three days of labouring my son was born in the birthingpool, pink and healthy. we are expecting our second child this december and will definately go for at homebirth again!

I love your channel, Delilah! You and your family are so beautiful and I love watching your videos. I am a young mom as well, I'm 21 with a 2 (almost 3) year old son and an 8 month old son and I'm married to my middle school crush/highschool sweetheart. I delivered both of my boys naturally and unmedicated too. My oldest was 3 days early and needed to be admitted into the NICU for a week due to a blood clot in my placenta that none of my doctors knew about. That caused him to be small for gestational age and have some breathing problems but he is totally fine and health now. My youngest was born 6 weeks early after my water broke suddenly one night, I was later diagnosed with polyhydraminos which is a condition that caused me to have too much amniotic fluid and the sack couldn't hold it anymore and ruptured. He spent 2 weeks in the NICU and is now healthy with no permanent effects from being premature except that he's smaller than the average baby his age. I can't wait to watch you and your family continue to grow! Best wishes to you all!

My birth experience: (just a couple days after you ) On April 30th I went in to my midwife for my 39 week appt. there we found that my blood pressure was pretty high. It had been steadily increasing the past couple weeks. And the swelling in my face and limbs was getting intense. She said they had to send me to the hospital for testing. And we’d go from there. I was calm. I called my husband on the way home to let him know we had to go. That MAYBE we’d have a baby. So we got to the hospital and went to triage. There we had about 4 hours of testing. Getting my bloodwork, urinalysis that showed elevated protein levels, my blood pressure every 10 minutes. At one point my blood pressure got up to 160/100. I was a little scared but still had peace about everything happening. Finally after what seemed like forever, they told me the plan. I was being admitted and they were going to give me cervadil at 7pm Tuesday night, take it out at 7am Wednesday morning and then go from there. They told me it might be a lengthy process. I was only 1cm dilated 60% effaced. I couldn’t sleep at all. Well 4 am came along with the most intense pain I’ve ever experienced. Extremely painful contractions. Every 30 seconds or so. For the next hour it was like that. Transition came shaking and vomiting. Sweating like crazy. (I was not pleasant to my husband who was breaking ice packs for me every 5 minutes) Around 5/5:30 my body wanted to push with every contraction. Even tho I wasn’t ready yet. I couldn’t control it. I could barely breathe. They checked and I was 6 cm dilated. At 6 am. They decided to take the cervadil out early and give me an ice pack. As SOON as they took it out, I was able to breathe again I was about to lay down and breathe through every contraction as it came. No problem. It wasn’t unbearable anymore. 6:45 came, they checked me again 9cm dilated. They broke my water and I started pushing about 10 minutes later. 10 minutes of pushing later, our baby girl popped out into this world. Cone head and all. 💞 If I’m being honest, I was traumatized by how fast and furious everything came on. But as I’ve had time to process what happened, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Once the medication wasn’t in me, my body knew what to do. No epidural. No pain medication. Just instincts. I’m proud of what I did. And I’m so filled with joy that it brought our little girl into our lives 💞

So beautiful!! Congratulations on 54k you disserve it and so much more. Theo is beautiful he's a mini Zach! So I have my first 4 years ago now. Everything went smoothly till 22weeks when my water broke. I was in the process of getting transferred to a larger hospital it a bigger city that has a higher level NICU. But a few days before the transfer I have a prolapse cord. Me and my husband choose to have a C-section to give our son a chance to survive. He sadly did not make it and passed away in my husbands arms. Soon my epidural started where off and I started feeling everything. They knocked me out and coming to was awful. The hospital and staff was amazing they aloud me to stay with him and hold him till the day before I got discharged. That was the hardest time in my life. But I had an amazing support system. Last year on Valentine's day I took a pregnancy test to my shock it came out positive. We where going to start trying but I had a lot of weight to lose and I had just found out I have PCOS and that I was going to stuggle to get pregnant because I wasn't ovulating Everytime and my cycles where long . I was over the moon but my pregnancy was so hard. I threw up for 8 months I could never eat anything. I threw up so much one weekend I lost 14lbs. I eventually got put on bed rest at 32weeks for incompetent cervix. Meaning my cervix shortened and I was dilating from the inside. And I had already been taking progesterone shots every week. So my doctor choose to have me deliver at 36weeks v C-section since she did not do Vbac. On September 17 I went in early morning barley sleeping the night before to have my baby. I was Soo nervous. Walking down to the operating room was so hard. As they gave me to epidural I had to control myself from not crying yet . I had a beautiful baby boy Oliver! He had to spend a week in the NICU due to low blood sugar and jaundice. But when I finally took him home I was over the moon I loved him at first sight. Now he is 8 months old today and quiet a handful!! And the light of our lives. Your birth vlog was so beautiful. I wish I had been able to do that but it was not God's plan for me. And I am totally okay with that. Sadly I will always have to deliver at 36 weeks due to thin uterus walls from my last c section . Thank you for letting me share my story. I don't have any mommy friends where I live since it's a retirement town I wouldn't know where to find them lol. God bless ! ☺️ Much love from Florida!!

I'm super late to the party. But it's a beautiful birth story ❣ I gave birth to my first baby on June 25. My water broke at 5:41AM, contractions started really slow at around 6:15, I was 3 cm dilated at 7:00, 5cm at 9:00 and gave birth at 14:55 after a full hour of pushing (which sounds like a long time, but it felt sooo fast!!) 100% natural, no IV, no medication whatsoever. Except after the birth, where I was given some kind of medication to prevent extrem bleeding.

I’ve been so looking forward to this video. And I’m really curious to hear about your afterbirth story too. I had a pretty rough after birth too. I’m like you and had a fast 2.5 hour labor with my first. I tore really badly because it was so fast and had 3rd degree tears that required more stitches than a C-section. I also had postpartum hemorrhaging and had to have a blood transfusion. It was definitely scary but God gave me so much peace through it all. I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant with baby #2. I’m trying so hard to not worry about this birth and trust that God is in control. Watching your birth video has given me so much peace. I’m definitely going to try some breathing techniques this time around.

I just love positive birth stories. Unfortunately I had an emergency c-section after 12 hours of labor and it took me a while to overcome it emotionally, since I didn't have that time to bond with my baby, skin to skin, I gave birth at 5:40pm and saw him for the forst time next day at noon 😔 Hopefully I will have better experience next time around. Kisses to Eloise and Theo 🥰❣

@@AnnahRaePhoto thank you very much for your kind words 🥰 I am ok now and I completely recovered and fell in love with my baby but sometimes, when you expect natural birth and pregnancy was really relaxed and easy going you feel like something was taken away from you when you end up having C section and miss the opportunity to experience a wonder of natural birth. I gues noone really talks about it, but emotions are really hard especially while hormonal and sensitive.. So it is nice to have community like this to have some support 🙂

I also had an emergency c section after 26 hours of labor. I did not prepare myself for a c section, I hadn't even considered the possibility of having one. I couldn't hold my baby for several hours, and I couldn't breastfeed because she was having a hard time staying warm. My daughter is FTT and I can't help but think it's because of the birth and our separation. I'm still working on overcoming it emotionally :(

@@lolimtia I understand you. It will get better, I promise. I also had issues with brestfeeding and had to start with formula. I wasnt prepared for it either and it hit me really hard I felt like I was a failure mama, nothing was goint naturaly or easy.. But at the end I was happy that my baby was safe. And I know I'm doing the best I can. My doctor told me that human birth is the most complex one in whole living world. I just guess I'm lucky to have medical staff that helped me deliver my baby safe and alive. Next time might be totally different. I send you all the best luck!

Such a sweet video, I am glad I stumbled upon your channel. I think my kids will have a similar age gap as yours (older is 18month) and I am 25 weeks preggo. I am concern about jealousy! Specially because my older boy gets mad when his dad is hugging or kissing me haha. My 1st delivery was pretty good. The only thing I would change if I could, since my water broke and went to the hospital right away, they gave me Pitocin to get things started. It was painful but not a long labor. Thankfully I did not tear.

Woaw, your body was made to do this so well, Delilah!😆 And your channel is growing so fast!😱 I think you will have 100K by the end of this year!🎉🎉🎉 I think you would love having a home birth. It's less stressful, no need to pack and rush to the hospital, you're in your own environment. But the best thing is you get to deside everything. When I wanted to walk, I could. When I wanted to eat, I could. I gave birth in the squatting position in the pool and let gravity help, what was so much nicer than laying down. It's so empowering. I had 2 ours of skin to skin, and after 3 ours my doctor and midwife and family went home and I could rest without being disturbed. They came and checked me and Marlon everyday for 2 weeks. I would recommend it to everyone who has a healthy pregnancy. Lots of love, Chavely😘

Not sure if it's my own pregnancy hormones or not, but this video made me crrryyyyy 😂You are so graceful, Delilah! You are such a strong mama, and I look up to you! Makes me feel like I could try a unmedicated birth! Last time, I had a c-cection so didn't have a choice. but... you definitely make me feel stronger!! Congratulations again! When I was pregnant with my first, it was a great and healthy pregnancy at first! Then when I hit 30 weeks, I started getting high blood pressure. So bad, that they had to induce me at 39 weeks. Induction failed, so that's why I ended up with a c-section! I blame the high blood pressure on my stressful nursing job, so now that i'm not working and a SAHM, in hoping I can avoid induction this time around!

Hi Delilah, I've been watching your videos since being pregnant with my first baby over a year ago - you were so helpful as I prepared to welcome my sweet girl into the world. We had her in France and they don't let you eat or drink anything whilst you're in labour so I was so hungry too! We hope to have a second baby and now we live in Canada so it will be interesting to see how different the hospitals are. God bless you and your sweet family, and thank you for sharing your experiences and tips.

That sounds like such an amazing experience! I had a really positive birth as well, I was also 40w 2d when I went into labor, I was never checked so Im not sure where I started at. I had been having false contractions for a few weeks prior so when I started getting them I thought they were going to go away. They started at 4am 5-7 mins apart but they weren’t very painful so I just relaxed at home with my husband and best friend. The times of them were all over the place but they were getting stronger throughout the day but not as painful as I was expecting. Around 6pm, they started getting really far apart and I was still able to talk through them so I told my friend she could probably go home and that it was probably false labor. I took a shower at 8 and didn’t have one contraction the whole time so I got pretty bummed. I decided to try the nipple stimulation and immediately I got very strong contractions every two minuets. I still didn’t think it was real so I didn’t want to rush to the hospital even though my husband did lol so I waited maybe 15 mins and they still didn’t go away so we went in, around 8:20. I got there and because it was my first baby and I was able to walk still they weren’t too rushed and when the nurse checked me she had to do it twice because she didn’t believe it, I was 9cm dilated. I wanted to labor in a birthing tub so I went to that room and got in around 10pm and that helped sooo much! My water broke around 11 and I gave birth in the tub at 12:18am on May 1st, after pushing for 40 minuets. I think the only way I got through it without pain medication was the birthing classes we took, we learned exactly how everything works and what happens at each stage and when a contraction hit I kept telling myself, this pain means you that much closer to meeting your baby. Telling myself the pain was a good thing really helped. After I gave birth and delivered my placenta it did not come out intact so I did start to hemorrhage. That was a really scary few hours but everything did end up ok and now we’re here a year later and I can’t wait to have another one :)

What a beautiful birth story, you are truly so blessed! Your birth video brought me to tears. I really admired your strength and calmness throughout your labor. My birth story was pretty traumatic but I think its important to share all experiences. I was induced at 42 weeks, it was a long induction and my baby went into stress. She was born not breathing and had to be resuscitated. She wound up going to the NICU and have having a cooling treatment because going into stress caused her to suffer moderate HIE (hypoxic ischemic encepholopathy) which is a brain injury caused by lack of oxygen to the blood and brain. I didnt get to hold her until her 4thday of life but miraculously she is doing very well despite the NICU doctors being very concerned about her brain injury initially.

My birth experience for my daughter was pretty terrifying because I got severe preeclampsia very quickly, had an allergic reaction to the first bp medicine I was given and then after that was given magnesium which made me feel delusional and on fire. But once all that wore off I was happy and as calm as I could be just very scared and had to get the epidural to lower my blood pressure even though I wasn’t in much pain even at 6cm when I got it. But the epidural did make me more relaxed and I was able to sleep a lot and the doctors actually had to wake me up to tell me I was fully dialated. My contractions never regulated so they were all over the place from 2 minutes apart to 10 minutes apart but I was able to get my baby girl out in about an hour! I’m currently almost 32 weeks pregnant so really hoping this time around to not get preeclampsia and have a more enjoyable birth experience 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Your birth experience sounds amazing! The birth of my son took 9 hrs and was medicated. He turned out to have his umbilical cord around his neck, which was an additional stress for us and made the nurses cut me. BUT! It didn't matter eventually as I got him in my arms. 😍

I’m nearly 9 months pregnant with my third baby. Hoping not to go into labor while hubby is out of town. If so, the plan is for neighbors to drive me down the road to hospital. My other two kids are older teens and can look after themselves. I was induced with both of them and really paying attention to your labor symptoms, since I’ve never naturally gone into labor before. At the beginning of this week I was already 2 cm dilated. I don’t have contractions every day.
