#42 from the Austin Aviators harasses my teammate. In the first clip, you'll see him crash himself out by trying to take out my teammate. In the second clip, you'll see that when he comes back into the race, he immediately goes for my teammate again.

This is why I can't do crits. Someone does this to me, and I'm gonna be waiting in the parking lot for them or just hop off my bike and settle it mid-race...cycling is dangerous enough without these sort of antics

If this is just a crit, why would the guy reenter the race or be allowed to reenter when he is a lap down?

In the NCNCA, if a rider crashes or has a mechanical, they can reenter the race if there are more than five laps remaining. Typically the lap rule is subject to the promoter's rules.

@@FreeMTrider That is an interesting rule. The application isn't clear to me though, the rider just comes back in and then is on the same lap as everyone else or does he have to make up the distance he lost?

Deliberate aggression while racing, with a number pinned on, under a license is unacceptable. Governing body should take action based off of recommendations. Local promoters can ban at their level too, say for a year, stay away from my event, go fight somewhere else. Deliberately crashing someone else is criminal, ban for life type behavior. Just getting in a fist fight after the race in the parking lot doesn’t prompt our teams, organizations, promoters or governing bodies to do anything. There should be people to contact in order to make your case that a racer was clearly TOO AGGRESSIVE in today’s race. If we all race like we’re being filmed with a GoPro, or whatever, from behind, with consequences if we act stupid, then we will all race on our best behavior, like competitive Ladies and Gentlemen should. ✌️🪂🪂🪂🪂
