How wonderful that you took your little boy Brook with you. Even though he is just a little boy, he will have videos and pictures of memories spent with families. It’s a wonderful gift to give him. I am portuguese but have never been since all my ancestors migrated to Hawaii.. then after WWII came to California . The views from that first B&B were incredible!!!! Lawn and trees and access to that beautiful beach and those amazing rock arches. What an experience. And the outdoor dining terrace must have been stunning in the evening. What a memory to have your parents and sister family all together.

I hope you get to Portugal soon! It’s an incredible country… you should be very proud to be Portuguese. I hope they registered your birth… that way you are able to live there with very little hassle. The rest of us have to work hard to get a visa. 😊

Olá, Boa Noite. Loved your video. When you first mentioned a week my reaction was noooo, that isn’t enough time. I spent 3 months in Portugal after some burn-out from taking care of my elderly Mum and then having to clean out and sell her house… and it was the perfect place to find myself again. My plan now is to move there! Now that you’ve been, you know how special it, you can go back knowing it will be a terrific holiday. P.s. The Portuguese LOVE children! They are included in all events, including dinners in restaurants and anything adults typically do. I wish I had raised my daughter there! Cheers

Hi I’m from the UK and holiday in Portugal regularly. I can recommend the Western Algarve, Lagos and Luz are some of my favourite places to visit. Love Portugal for shopping for ceramics and linens ❤️

Love Europe! I’m moving to Limoges, France, soon. My first trip to Portugal was when I was about 11, en route to Tripoli Libya where we lived (oil biz). Your family is beautiful. Your child is so adorable and well behaved esp for an American. Europe is VERY FAMILY FRIENDLY!

It looks like you had a wonderful time and although Brooks won't remember it, you'll have videos to show him. Your right about having a balance and being present in the moment and not taking constant photos. I have been to London and you would love it. Definitely a walking city with stunning architecture and quaint cobblestone streets, Mews, and interesting neighborhoods. I also want to go to Paris one day. Germany is also beautiful.
