@@ms.shineray "Some others have a liking to feel oppressed about anything and everything." What an ignorant and reductive statement. Like the OP mentioned, the issue is not that non-black women are styling their hair in ways that are unique to us. It's that this society continues to police black hair-expelling children from schools for wearing natural hairstyles, giving young men ultimatums like, "cut your locs or you can't compete in this sporting event," firing women from jobs for deciding to wear their hair in its afro state, etc-yet deems natural hairstyles "trendy" and "cool" when worn on a non-black person. People are obsessed with labels because THEY don't even know much of who they are. And the problem is, the labels we give ourselves often instead of telling us who we are, help us distract us ourselves from who we are.
@glorii3 Жыл бұрын
I agree with that one. Being labeled may give them a sense of identity, but at the end, why do you feel the need to speak about your nature. Just do you in general, no matter what you will be judged. I find labels very limiting also because you’re put in a category and are then subject to a lot of stereotypes. For example if you’re gay, people may see you as feminine or think you can vogue. If you’re trans, they will believe you like to blame the oppposite gender, etc…

Nahh, I don't agree with the fast fashion one. These money hungry brands are causing so much chaos in the fashion world and in the real world too. Simply saying "leave people alone to shop from fast fashion brands" is causing so much damage. And the argument that these brands are a "better" option for people who may not be able to afford high quality clothes is such a dead argument because a lot if these fast fashion brands aren't cheap. Like the actual less financially privileged people can't even afford fast fashion items, ironic isn't it? And its crazy because most of the items sold on these sites are very impractical, cheaply made and don't last in your wardrope for more than a month. The reason why thrift stores are becoming more expensive is due to a corolation in the rise of fast fashion brands and the over suplly of items no one needs. That's why discussion need to be had about these brands and the people who shop on there(the influencers and tiktokers). No major authorities are holding these brands accountable, no one is doing anything about the disgusting child labour being employed so the next best things is for us, the people to keep talking about fast fashion in a negative light and calling them out on the bullshit they practice. This goes for SHEIN, TEMU, WISH, PRINCESS POLLY(or whatever bullshit namethey call themselves) and many more. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

I’ve always wondered… if a fast fashion brand pay 2$ to a child per day of working for them, even if it’s THAT low (maybe it’s lower, i don’t have a clue) do you think that when we "cancel" these brands it gets better for them ? Like they used to have 2$ per day but now they have 0? How are they supposed to survive now I’m all about supporting the movement but I’m asking my self if it isn’t more destructive on their side I feel like giving money to foundations in their country are actually more helpful than just decide to drop the company that make them survive (even if it’s in the worst conditions)
@istanarmybts9673 Жыл бұрын
@@m.rieangeldg7254 Yes, I've always thought that too. But child labour shouldn't be a thing in the first place, so it's good to ask how did such a practice come about in the first place? Why isn't the government trying harder to curb this practice. A lot of countries have made it illegal, including China, yet when it actually happens, they do nothing about it. "Cancelling" these brands could be destructive for the people working for them in the short run, but letting these brands get more pour and have more power in society is going to be more destructive in the long run. Not just for the innocent children working for these brands, but for everyday people like you and me. Just take a look at the pollution fast fashion brands cause and look at the countries that are usually affected by it... that alone should be very alarming.

I drink milk by itself almost everyday, why? It’s just delicious. The texture and heaviness of it and the creaminess it’s just lovely and feels refreshing, not too flavorful but has a hint of sweetness. I like to have it with strawberries too. Just imagine it like any other beverage drink that someone would like💕

Another great video boo! And as far as the kink thing though it all falls under the category of degradation. There are some people who get their kicks out of being dominated/humiliated. The only time where I see it as a problem is if they’re forcing it in other peoples faces or doing it out in public. Kinks are meant to be for in the bedroom and shouldn’t be discussed in spaces where people may be uncomfortable. There’s literally websites and specific areas for those types of things to be discussed. As far as the race play thing goes though. I have a cousin who is into It and it’s a very dicey subject mainly because of history. But I also think that it falls under the same category as degradation just more extreme. While it might not be everyone’s cup of tea and certainly not mines. I usually have no problem with it until it becomes a problem. Meaning if the two adults are consensual and after care is being used while nobody is getting taken advantage of or hurt then fine idgaf it’s your bedroom life. But if your black and walking around here acting white and talking about your own people on social media and just tap dancing all over the place like Candace Owens then it becomes a problem for me because your making black people look bad. From what I understand most NORMAL people who do raceplay keep it inside their bedrooms anyway. Like nobody besides me and my sister knows that my cousin and her husband like raceplay. The only reason we found out is because we tell each other everything. The ironic part about it is that her husband is the last person you would think who would be into that stuff. Now puppy play and all that liking animal and minors shit is a whole different discussion and at that point somebody definitely does need to be sectioned off. But raceplay just seems like somebody (particularly the black individual) sorta kinda needs therapy because there’s some trauma going on somewhere. That just seems like some shit that would just eat at your morality for a bit. Which is why BLACK HISTORY needs to be taught to the new generation FLORIDA.

I dunno I just feel like if you really love your partner why would you ever in any lifetime refer to them as an n-word. There’s calling them a sl*t or a b*tvh but the n-word is a reallll heavy word that you can’t walk back from. If that was me in that situation I’d feel dirty having that come out my mouth so smoothly. You really can’t say that word so easily as a non-black person without being racially ignorant or just plain racist. I’m sorry but that’s how I see it. Edit: YES THERAPY and a black support group 😭
@YoonminLife Жыл бұрын
nah im sorry but i find no excuse for raceplay, ageplay, etc. thats just pure disgusting and you shouldnt say "well they arent hurting anyone." when they literally are. raceplay makes people think its okay to attack minorities and treat them as non human beings. race play isnt just in the bedroom, it affects the outside too. thats goes for ageplay as well. so yeah, kink shaming is totally okay in this regard

I don’t kink *shame* as long as it's between consenting adults. But i do kink unpack and encourage it and basically require it if you're gonna be "kinky" in anyway with me. Because yeah i think a lot of people like to hide behind kinks and preferrenes when it comes to dating and sex, they'll say you can't judge me , i'm not (insert whatever negative bigoted or emotionally unbalanced assumption here) that's just my *preference* or my *kink* and it's like okay bro...bruh...bruv. i'm not tryna judge ...we're tryna help us all be aware of our emotions and our reasonings and unpack our traumas and figure out what's going on up here and with all of us and ish... Kink can be a form of healing therapy, like Sex therapy is a real thing and i think Sex work can be a part of that too, however it has to be done with intention, intentionally and with respect. signed, someone who has many kinks and has done a bit of SW.

I agree with so many things you said!!! And the drinking straight up milk is something I’m also confused about 😭 Im not under 14, I’m 19, and do drink strawberry soy milk *sometimes* (like 3 times a year lmao) but straight up plain cow milk is gross to me idk and it’s not even because I’m vegan (black vegan hereee haha reference to your previous point 🙌🏾) but even when I was vegetarian I would absolutely enjoy cheese, whipped cream, parmesan, and sometimes yogurt n all… but milk?? Since I was like 3 I’ve always been grossed out by it 🤣 even in cereal. That and boiled sweet potatoes are just a no for me (sweet potato lovers might cancel me but I just can’t I’m sorry but I do eat it sometimes just cause it’s helathy but never for the taste 😅)

I agree with you on Miley Cyrus! I used to dislike her before but now I really respect her and like some of her songs. She is definitely very talented and has a really good voice. I also respect you for not caring if white people wear traditionally black hairstyles. Some of us white people (including me) think that your hair texture is amazing and your hairstyles are super cool - we're appreciating it. It's awful that some black people are apparently discriminated against because of the hairstyle they are wearing - nobody should be, it's just hair and you should be able to wear it however you want.

Ooo this is so interesting. I’ll say something on the whole k!nk aspects of things as someone going into psychology as a career. What you’re attracted to could be a result of trauma and or things familiar to you growing up. Some people have masochistic k!nks aka stepping on people because there is a sense of control given to the person who was traumatized as a way of owning it and feeling in control of those negative experiences. I think that can also apply to ppl who are black and like to be called the n word or some level of taboo that makes it feel good to do or have done to you. I don’t necessarily think these k!nks are bad as long as no one openly talks about or glamorizes them in such public platforms aka TikTok instead of Reddit where I think it belongs. As long as you’re not normalizing harm and or promoting these things or justifying/causing harm to someone it should be fine. I do however have an issue with the normalization of school girl outfits online by content creators. The interests themselves aren’t bad but talking about them on places in which people can’t consent to listen to these things they bump into is what makes it weird and gross.

My pet peeve is people that watch sports but clearly don't play the sport (well or at all) and then they scream at the TV as if they could do any better and as if screaming at the TV will affect the outcome of the game...I hate professional sports in general but playing and watching the sport is more respectable than just watching and screaming at the tv...especially because most of the players are not even originally from the place where the team is located, these rivalries are manufactured

I’ve always agreed with the stuff with acrylic nails. Everyone always hating my comments and girls saying nah I do everything fine with long nails! Keyboards aren’t a problem either ! Like…. I have been doing my own acrylic nails for years. I love long nails ONLY for getting very creative but tbh they get in the way!!! At home I cook and clean and sometimes with stilettos I be poking holes in tortillas when I flip them over! They get in the flame and my top coat peels off 😭 lol when I’m wiping counters my nails bang up against stuff and I got stuff to do! Omg and when something gets in my eye!!! I go and get my straight edge clips and clip them bitches off! I need to get stuff out of my eye. Same when I’m going to play my MMOs on PC. I cut my nails short. Gaming with controller is much better. And the bathroom thing!!! I hate it! It is MUCH more difficult to clean down there comfortably!!! It is!!! When Im on my period I do a short set on myself ! Bc changing tampons is difficult ! I once poked myself down there in my sensible area lol and it hurt so bad! Oh stilettos my favorite but I have scratched myself accidentally a lot! On my neck. My cheeek and almost my eye bc idk I just can’t handle stilettos. I almost always do coffin. And we need shaming back in general. To call out all weird behavior. Not just weird kinks. Edit to say I hate when people comment about someone they think is hot and they’re like “oh king/queen!!! Step on meeee!” Like you just come off as a degenerate. Man up!!! Why you want a woman stepping on you And the girls like why you want abuse lol that’s not even hot. Also agree with the culture stuff. I don’t care if someone wants to wear “Latino” wear. Whatever tf that may be lol. Or speak Spanish. Want to know the culture. WE appreciate it and feel appreciated. Idk why other people get mad af over that stuff but a lot of Hispanic and Latinos don’t hate on that. We feel liked

I love Hiphop in general and definitely vibe with a lot of women /female rappers and I don't consider myself a stan of anyone. i was streaming Cardi's first record after she hit it big Invasion of Privacy and and Queen by Nicki Minaj wjen they came out around rhe sane time sovi will speak on this I like honesty in my music. in really any art form but i am probably the most passionate about music. Doesn’t have to be something i agree with but i want it to feel and be real or from the heart from a need/ want or yearning to creatively express one's self. And yeah i think the reason i'm not checking for her songs as much (Cardi B that is) and maybe it's an opinion shared but others as well but i think for me i realized as you were saying it... it's because of the second thing you mentioned, like Up is a cute dance club song but it doesn't have a lot of substance. Like Beyoncé's Renaissance is a whole dance club album but it has a lot of substance/depth musically and lyrically. (from what i've heard ismdk i haven't listened to the whole thing...which like bitch what have you been doing but yeah i think it's mainly cause i also don't check for Beyoncé as much any more as i used to (i grew uo on Destiny's child so no disresoect to her music career at all) just cause i don't agree with her being such an über Capitalist. (fuckin Uber took that wirj it's so annoying cause i like using it but now i feek like it seens like i'm talking about the right shsring company but now i mean über like super a lot, i just likw how it sounds in sentences better than super usually anyway except not now cause it always reminds me of Uber and feels out of context in writing but anyway side rant done) Like no the only better than one Black Billionaire is not 2 .. B.I.T.C H. what? like seriously are y'all serious right now? i guess you are 🙄 but like bffr an actual better thing thst i couod think of off the top of my head would be um: no Billionaires??!!?like at all , And... Reparations for all Black people in this Country (U.S.A. for me) (and frankly most of the World) and like and equitable system(s) of living for ALL. like really bffr. but i'm still gonna listen cause you know it's good , and probably excellent, because Beyoncé is a Virgo and she's motherfuckin' Beyoncé. one thing we know in this timeline for certain: when *Beyoncé* drops an album she is, was, and forever will be putting her whole Heart, Soul and Beyon-c-ussy into that body of work. Beyoncé is an artist, an artisté. Yeah she's a Capitalist For Sure but it's clear her Art and creative expression comes first orbat the very least equal to the bag. and she's not tryimg to comform to what her "fans" want. so i can respect tbh and which is why i will be checking for Beyoncé a bit and will be listening to all of Renaissance fersure even if i'm way late cause the tours almost over but yeah) I saw a video about her (Cardi B) talking about her song Be Careful which I genuinely really love and loved the music video for, but she was saying how it wasn't really received well, how people complained that that's not what they expected for the music video and song and such and basically she felt like people didn't like when she wasn't singing about sex and shaking ass so she's gonna give the oeople what they want. i thibk she's got creativity and skills but i don't think she's focusing it on true expression right now. Tomorrow 2 is so good because it feels real like she really got into the vibe of the song with her whole chest and she was having fun with it (and those ad libs and stuff you can here it that she's enjoying herself and the both of then working on the song) and lyrics she's talking about deeper stuff , yeah she still used sexual innuendos and such but she's talking about beefing with people and probably drawing from real life experiences either in actually writing the lyrics or if she had help writing (idk i haven't checked the writer credits, ) still it seemed personal to her so she is/was feeling it and the tjeme of the song was don't worry about what people say or certain ish that sucks rn because the Sun can shine tomorrow. (It's a remixed/interpolation updated more adult version of Tomorrow from the Musical Annie which i also love, love that movie (the original haven't seen the newer ones but heard they are good) and musical (performed in a community /kids theatre production of it as a kid, not as a speaking role as an extra orphan but still love that show) and yeah that somg is probably my favorite song from the musical really inspiring and theres a reprise at the end so i don't rhink i'm alone in feeling it sums uo a lot if the themes of the story. Hope for a better tomorrow not losing that hope and letting shit go. So yeah for all those reasons Tomorrow 2 was a great song, but it wasn't Cardi's somg, she just hopped on that honest and frankky kinda deeo vibes and she brought a lot to it, but ahe's not attempting genuine and deep themes for herself right now at keast that's how it seems. So I'll be checking for Glorilla fersure but less ao for Cardi B, at this time...but who knows energy moves and that's the only consistent in life the only constant is change so her energy towards her art and/or my energy on this could change. But that's how i feel about it now. thanks for asking that question that really made me think about my own patterns and preferences and reasonings for things. So thank you for asking for our opinion, i appreciated being inspired to take the time to think about /break down and try and understand all of these ideas.

Personally i love sushi, like even just the fish and rice not in roll form, the nigiri, but it's not for everyone especially the raw fish. texture is important and some people are very sensitive and don't vibe with eating certain textures and that's perfectly fine. Idk what kinda sushi places you have in England but in California and especially in the Southbay area where i live now there is a large Asian population and sushi is very popular (so even Asians that are not Japanese open sushi restaurantsz like one of my favorite sushi places actually is run by Chinese people) , and California even has a roll named for us, which to me is the classic "i don't really like sushi but i'll eat this one roll", but it is that because it's simole and food it's just rolled sushi rice and seaweed with avocado and cookee crab salad and sometimes cucumbers added too. Do they make California rolls in the sushi places in England? if so i bet you'd like that or Unagi Donburi which is msrinsted eel over rice with different garnishs and additions on the side depending on the restraunt or some of the baked sushi rolls you might like with shrimp or salmon in/on them. or some tempura. idk what kinda sushi places you have there but usually here there's a lot of variety and you don't have to get something with raw fish or even sushi at all when you go to any sushi joint (that i've been to which is quite a few) around here, in California.
