And it weirds me out even more that it's never talked about. Talk about it so it can be stopped before it's even a thing.

Unpopular opinion: CPS taking children because their parents cant support them financially and then giving the child to another family. @Miranda-uf7xb4 жыл бұрын
I understand your perspective and I do believe CPS is corrupt even, but all to an extent. There are so many reasons why CPS come into the picture, aside from financial instability. For example, giving money to a child's birth parents whose neglect and lack of proper care stem from drug addiction are likely to use that money for non-child expenses (drugs) and continue to neglect their child and/or allow their child to see them under the influence. That is certainly a damaging environment for a child and it makes sense that they are relocated to another family. Whether that family is actually qualified and honest enough to raise that child...that's another story. CPS is case-by-case basis nonetheless; sometimes it would make more sense to do what you're suggesting by paying the birth parents in order to care for their child and other times it is in the child's best interest to be removed from their birth parent's care. Botton line, and in connection with what you're saying, the system definitely needs to be changed and improved.

Another unpopular opionion: Rap music is ruining the black family. Most Rap is about drugs, violence and promiscuity. Even the female rappers talk about scamming men and sexing multiple men. Music programs our minds without us realizing it. Ever hear a sad song and instantly get sad? What about a song about fighting and instantly get hype? I'm guilty of it too. We are programming our brothers and sisters to care less about building a family and more about being desired by many and only focusing on the money. Black families are important. Having a two parent household most likely results in higher income and more time to raise children right instead of a single parent having to work multiple jobs and leaving the kids with other people.....but that's just my opinion..
@roxycp64 жыл бұрын
Exactly! Government “handouts” along with “entertainment” was the demise of black people. They took the father figure out if the home and it was all downhill from there. Stop taking the bait! There was a point in time where black families were making an honest and decent living and both parents in the household.

Right and it doesn’t make it better that a lot of these parents don’t monitor what they kids listen. Parents nowadays are barely involved in their children life. They let the kids be the parents and I’m like- Maybe it’s just me because I was raised by old school parents but I ain’t letting no kid run my house. Stop trying to be “cool and hip” with your kids (basically being a friend) and actually be a damn parent! Lots of kids don’t know how to separate reality from fiction in these songs and it’s because of the parents. This just reminds me of the whole KZbin thing and how parents were pissed at the content creators who made stuff not suitable for kids. It’s like well duh, of course! The content creators have state before that their channels arent for little kids. At that point, it’s up to you the parent to watch what your kids are watching because you are their biggest influence

Oooo baby you lost me on the universal health care argument. We need to model our care after Denmark and Sweden, not Canada. I’d rather wait a few days for care than to never have access to it or be hundreds of thousands in debt due to needing care. I’d rather pay an extra thousand in taxes than pay the $10k+ deductible, plus meds, plus copayments, plus premiums. We’d lose a lot less loved ones to preventable diseases if we had better access to healthcare. Our politicians just increased their healthcare benefits, paid for by tax payers, while we’re out here sick, dying, and having to ration insulin. We need universal healthcare.

I think people with Troyce's view vastly underestimate how expensive even basic healthcare procedures are. A 2 mile ambulance ride to the ER can easily cost $500. Then there was the who Epipen scandal where the company charged $700 for two doses of emergency insulin. Imagine if you had COVID-19 and had to choose between paying $75,000 hospital stay or "tough it out" at home for 2 weeks and likely die of pneumonia. Here's an unpopular opinion: Healthcare should never be a for-profit business.

Unpopular opinions: 1. Kids should be able to learn trades, instead of being forced to be in school until 18(ish) years of age. K-12 style learning isn't for everyone, just like college style learning isn't for everyone. I don't have a specific plan to help regulate that idea, but, possibly when kids finish middle school, offer the opportunity to learn a trade and hit the ground running with work at a legal working age. Honestly, depending on where you grow up, some already start working, for example, if the family owns a shop or a farm. 2. Too many people turned their backs on Raz-B when he needed serious help and support, and, many people only started believing him when Omarion changed his mind (he was a doubter too). Raz was laughed at, made fun of, and labelled an attention seeker, which is a damn shame. He gets dismissed because it's a "Hollyweird issue", when childhood sexual abuse is far from just a "Hollyweird issue". 3. Justin Timberlake is almost a wannabe Usher. He's got some good music and he's definitely not without talent (pretty good actor), but, he bit Usher's style hard, while adding enough pop flavor to still remain a pop artist. Usher has a stronger voice and he's a better dancer. I view JT similar to how I view Drake: they have god music, but, a better performer (whether singer or rapper) could knock it out of the park. 4. For the most part, Brandy was taken for granted as a general entertainer. In the same span of time, she starred in a hit TV series, had major hit records, and she played Cinderella, which brought in millions of viewers opening night. Her role on The Game as Chardonnay was saving the show after the two leads (Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall) left. 5. Personal opinion, but, at the time of the Nas vs. Jay-Z Battle for King of NY, neither of them were the king. King of NY at that time was DMX, though, speaking as a non-New Yorker, I might be way off.

Pika Lee I totally forgot that too. My district originally had a plan to do a hybrid to minimize the amount of students on campus since we’re overpopulated but Texas forced schools to provide full week at school learning for students who choose to go back (which I kinda understand because the less privileged areas would give less at school instruction because they’re over populated while more privileged areas will be able to provide full week school instruction). Now overpopulated schools will not be able to safely social distance since they’re definitely going to have the most amount of working class parents and students in need of face-to-face instruction.

I believe the age of consent is so low solely for the reason that it allows grown men sexual access to young teenage girls. Think about it: throughout history men have organized child brides and trafficking for girls as tiny as toddlers. INFANT girls, literal BABIES were being “promised” to grown AF men! There are grown adults that joke about “waiting” until a child has reached legal age of consent for them to pursue. Idk bout anyone else but that’s a red flag that tells me lustful thoughts have crossed your mind while the minor is underaged. As a young teacher (close to your age in fact) I want to say your comment about schools reopening is not only ignorant, but it is idiotic. Not only is this putting children at risk but teachers, classroom aids, nurses, administration, cleaning staff, bus drivers, and bus attendance. To add, there are elderly people that work with my school and many around the country. One who happens to be one of my dearest friends, she is in her late 60's. Students and staff with health issue such as cancer that would not survive the virus will DIE. At least 3-5 students in each of my class have mild or severe asthma (I am a adult and I have severe asthma). You are basically asking the district to aid in killing people. My life does matter (and I want to live past my mid 20's), my student's lives matter, my fellow staff members lives matter.... Please do not say such foolish things, that could cause the pandemic to kill thousands more.

@JaheimsStrugglingHairline4 жыл бұрын
@mini miu The issue, in my opinion, is the lack of reassurance the american public has. People SHOULD NOT have to choose between possibly dying and going to work, or not going to work and not be able to eat. That is what people fear the most. Majority of working class Americans (which are living at or below the poverty line) are not living like they are on a vacation. These people are paying their rent, utilities, and other bills. The average rent nationwide is 1500 dollars, this does not include other bills. Speeding up the time to reopen when numbers are going up in every state will not help at all. But giving the american public help with their daily lives, creating a safe environment, and finding a cure will. Most teachers weren't coming back anyway (if you want to know the truth), many refuse to put their lives and their family's lives at risk; and I do not blame them. If a child is depressed there is online help for them, it is truly the parent's job to make sure their children are okay. But risking other people's lives is not (in my opinion) worth it at this point. BTW vitamins have been proven to not be effective, a quick google search will show you that. Also the immune system takes years to totally deplete.

For me I just think about how pointless the work is to me. Like I understand I’ll need math, reading and a bit of history but all were gonna do is forget about most of it and for some of us we won’t need any of it for our future. I agree, the quarantine has caused me to try new things, and take the initiative to look up all the information myself for things like taxes, how to drive, how to cornrow, etc. I hated how much time school took up for me. This way I didn’t spend so much time on work everyday.

@skyblu2u4 жыл бұрын
Exactly! I hate that school is almost 8 hours a day for children and their expected to fall in line at drop of a command. I feel school should scale back a little on education and teach kids more about emotions, morals, taxes, personal and mental health, so many other things that are useful. School should allow kids to be kids and explore various subjects than just english, math, social studies, and science.

@elijahlee40494 жыл бұрын
I totally agree but here in New Jersey it’s the opposite actually. If we’re wearing a mask to school, our school district believes that we are sick with the coronavirus. I think adults who don’t have kids shouldn’t have a say on where or what should happen to children in regards to school. Another unpopular opinion: adults think that children and teens are stupid simply because we are young and “naive.” I disagree with adults and I hope our generation can make a change for our society with the knowledge and materials we’ve obtained throughout the years. And about the democratic and Republican Party, there needs to be a balance between both and not one over the other in order to strengthen our country while helping those in need. While getting rid of racism, while allowing women to have equal rights to men.

@@deannamccrimmon7805 For real, she has a lot of personality especially when you hear about her according to her protéges (Chloe x Halle) saying she's strict and passionate about their well-beings. And the way she gives a compliment about their progress on songwritings, etc.; Beyonce will profoundly mean it, because she doesn't just give compliments to be nice, she'll tastefully criticize them to gain real progress. What this says about parts of her personality is she's a bit of a perfectionist, headstrong but compassionate when needed (people around her loves her, and that should say a lot about her just because she values privacy). So, how the heck is that robotic?
