I don’t have an issue when Rod saying that they like Pac over Biggie but the A&R comment from the guest was odd. Yes, Big had Diddy to help with the direction but so did Pac. 2Pac had Shock G and other producers help guide his first two albums. When he transitioned to Death Row, he had Dre and other classic producers. At the end of the day, most great albums have many hands in the pot. I do wish we would’ve had more projects to help solidify his legacy but it is what it is. Peace and love to everyone. Have a great week!
@Sheltonj332 жыл бұрын
I said it because not only did he a&r the project, puff actually picked the tracks and constructed the hooks. some of the songs were also changed in post production. Absolutely not the case with Pac. but yes, there are several contributing parties to almost every classic song.

I partially agree with Beezy on the 50 Cent thing (not on how good it is cause it's dope to me) however I think he's only half right about the "he was carried by his production" when, tbh I'd have 100% agreed if he added "...carried by his production [and his amazing ability to write a catchy hook]." Keep the production and remove those hooks for something more bland and you totally ruin that album, yet I feel if you changed the production to something with just hard drums and keep those hooks then that album still would have that character that popularised it and would still inform the "50" character. Anyone see my point, do you disagree and think Beezy is 💯 or do you totally disagree with Beezy and 50 was on his rapper shit? I'm still on the stance of it was a combination of hard beats and catchy, memorable hooks, with an emphasis on great hook work!

Though Cudi has always been one the leaders of this generation when it comes to discussing mental health in his music and being vulnerable No matter what. So, when an album like SB2H comes out and the sound is different than any other of his projects, besides WZRD, and Cudi sounded different, it was so easy to just write that album off and call it trash or bad or whatever. Not realizing that was one of Cudi's most open, deepest, darkest, vulnerable and realest albums in his discography and in 2015. Shout to the Dead End Hip hop crew, peace and blessings to you all!!

If I was stranded on a desert island and I only had a couple of albums to listen to I would definitely choose “The Score” as one of those albums. But it’s ok I respect Myke and his opinion. My unpopular rap opinions is “Represent” by Nas, “Pay Attention” by Big KRIT, and “Hard” by Royce da 5 are skippable tracks that diminish the quality of their respective albums. An Additional, unpopular opinion I have is that NWA is overrated. I respect what they did historically for the culture but i feel like their collective albums lack substance. For example Ice Cube’s first solo debut album “AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted” is filled with substance and Dr Dre’s “The Chronic” is timeless. Also, I feel like “Straight Outta Compton” is way overrated as well. I feel a group that is very similar to NWA but is way better is the Geto Boys.
