I need help I don’t know if you can read in English but I play on a similar size tagelharpe on a C#3 Ab3 C#4 but on cheap string what is the best sounding string material to use an where can I buy it. Thanks love your channel 🤙

The best material is nylon monofilament. But not every one. I tried Chinese from an unknown manufacturer, but the bow did not catch it. The coating is very slippery. There is a "GAMMA" manufacturer in my country. I'm using it. I do not know the specifics of the coating of this material, but the strings from it sound great and react to the movements of the bow. There is also an option to use a fishing line, but we do not know the specifics of the material from which this or that fishing line is made: it may not be suitable for strings, since the bow will slide along it without sound. Horsehair is also a wonderful material, but it is fragile. I would recommend it....But... You say that your taglharpa is as long as my tagelharpa. For this, the length of the horsehair, which is on sale in bundles for bows, may not be enough. Therefore, GAMMA monofilament is the best thing I used. Synthetics are no worse than organics in sound. And cheaper. But horsehair is almost all good for making strings. And the fishing line and monofilament may not be suitable. I hope you find the right material for your strings!

Thanks a lot for replying. I wanted to try horse hair but it doesn’t do well. In the climate I live in it’s very hot and humid all year so it degrades very quickly. I’m using the fishing line which works OK it just doesn’t work well when trying to play different notes But thanks again I will try the first recommendation. Can’t wait to hear more music from you. You’re the best out there, and you consistently put out new music 🤙

Also, the fishing line does work. I just apply resin to the string and it helps the bow catch the string also, you have to constantly re-tune the fishing line.

Вопрос Вам, как человеку разбирающемуся: Вариант ли использовать нейлоновые струны для гитары (6, 5,4.) на тальхарпе?

Смотря для каких задач. басить будет сильно. Я бы взял 5, 4, или 6, 4 на бурдоны. А голосовую скрутил бы. Т.к. для нее хороша была в моём случае вторая нейлоновая. Но она без оплётки. Её отвратительно смычок цеплял в большинстве случаев. Так что можно и третью пытаться подогнать под это дело, если не хочется крутить. Не в каждой строёвке звук нормальный даст, а что самое главное, - отзывчивость на позиции нот. Это в целом для гитарных нейлоновых струн для смычка, если их перетянуть. Хотя раньше как-то настраивал их на инструменты. Сейчас не нравятся.

@@nikon.b.folkpromrak благодарю за разъяснения! Инструмент своеобразный, информации не так много по нему как скажем по той же гитаре. Ну и я тот ещё знаток. Покупал леску, скачивал тюнеры на телефон, различной толщины струны плёл итд. В итоге настраиваю на слух, бывает попадаю, прям отлично звучит, но всё равно не то. Плохо я пока что разбираюсь в этом всём. Вот решил гитарные пробовать струны. Спасибо за помощь, буду пробовать!
