Good video - you've made a strong case for narrative nonfiction and given me some new authors to pick up, as well as trying to get to some on my shelf (The Wager, Devil in the White City, etc) sooner. If you haven't read it yet you might like to try The Tennis Partner by Abraham Verghese.

Nice presentation. I was an avid book reader, than one day something happened and I felt what is the use of investing so much of time on what someone’s idea was or on something that has happened sometime back. Then I tried science, but it stuck to me that what this knowledge is going to give me. Really in the run I lost all interest in reading books. But when I see something like this, like your video, I just watch and feel happy. Praying to God that someday I will get back what I have lost. Very happy listening to you dear . Best of luck.👍

You should consider reading Amitav Ghosh's Smoke and Ashes, it's non-fiction based on colonized India and opium cultivation and its effects and how the British exploited Indian and Chinese people in the process. Nutmeg's Curse by the same author talks about climate change and how European collonies were exploited for natural resource which has hasten the climate change process. Hope you pick them up soon😊

Kama the riddle of desire by Gurcharan Das would also fall in this category. It’s a treasure. In fact, 35-40 % is actually fiction (written in first person so feels like a memoir) which helps us under the context of what the author is speaking in that particular chapter/section.

Hy brother I hope you're doing well.. I've been an avid reader since covid and I really look up to your recommendations. I think it was a year ago or so u recommended project hailmary by Andy weir and I'm really intrigued just by it's beautiful cover but the thing is that red and black colour which is the first edition isn't available anywhere .. they've changed the cover to something else which looks terrible. Could u please help me find the first edition so that I can have that in my collection.
