That’s how it works. UNR2GM are useless for top 500’s to do. Yeah there’s some educational moments, but these guys have crazy aim, good awareness and thought process that all go into what makes them high ranking. No one they are streaming to apart from like masters and above, though probably not even masters with all the inflated ranks, have all these skills. All it shows is some good positioning tips, everything else is on you. There’s a few good tips for tracer, but the people you need to target are always changing depending on the pace and outcome of the game and every game is different as a tracer player

Just watch and learn kid, I’m GM support and M2 dps and I am dogshit at the game tbh, I have so many areas to improve, if you want to improve, go watch spilos videos, where he breaks down different things for hours, there you will learn the fundamentals of the game. Sometimes I’m smurfing in plat/diamond with some friends, and I can tell you that 90% of the player base think they know the basics, but they are so bad at fundamental things and still complaining about supports to switch or a dps who is not performing etc etc, learn your basics and you will become master easily you don’t even need good mechanics in reality, it will help u a lot, but only positioning and ult usage and ult tracking will take you above diamond, start counting damage of enemy players for example, it’s very very easy to do, but yet no one does it and is so surprised by the rein who get a 4 man shatter 30 seconds in to the fight. It’s a very easy game until you get to high masters, then people start to turn on their monitors and play the game for real, then it becomes hard

You can dmg boost any bomb, but the player has to be dmg boosted as they are throwing it, not after. Even tracers pulse can be boosted.

Seeing top 500 players playing on plat lobbies shows how mechanical skills matters so much. I could never carrie like this, no matter how insanely good my positioning is.

It's rough but that's why DPS is the mechanics role. You can't take risky positions if you can't click on heads enough. You can't flank and kill the supports if you can't consistantly win the 1v1. However, certain positioning and learning how to sneak up on enemies can make aiming SO much easier for you. Killing an Ashe who's scoped in on your team vs killing an Ashe who's strafing and shooting at you is a completely different matchup. One of those you are almost guarenteed to win and the other one is a 50/50. So yeah. Aiming is the single most important skill you need to learn for Tracer, but everything else is so important to learn too.

I personally just use default CTRL for it and it's never failed me. But if you want to swap it to an M4 or M5 button then that seems to be a really good option too.

Without discrediting anyone here, i find a10's take much better suited for someone whos (and without trying to be mean) shit at the game. This is all great tracer gameplay no doubt, but a lot of this is just "rank 1 player is just better and 1v3's the backline". This gameplay isnt sustainable without solid fundementals and good mechanics, which most tracers who are trying to climb out of the lower ranks wont have. Great video, but not incredibly educational. Also if youre a tracer trying to learn how to play tracer better, give a10 a shot, he did a similair unranked to gm thats like 3 hours long, did wonders.

But the people watching aren't in T500 though. It's Silver players trying to get to Plat. Or Diamond players trying to push to Masters. You can't organise a dive with your tank if your tank is also low elo. So you have to learn to do it yourself. You can get away with so much more in lower ranks, and it's much more effective to exploit low rank mistakes than to copy a T500 who can't take the risks a low elo player can. Yeah, once you're in Masters or above, this kind of content is completely useless and you're better off just learning from regular T500 gameplay, but for the 95% of the playerbase that is below that, this is a valid way to learn how to climb.

@@Megido_MG even if you can get away with so much more in lower ranks, doesn’t mean you should do it. That’s giving bad advice that doesn’t work in higher elo. The advice given is usually general advice, that doesn’t apply to each rank. It’s still an excuse to smurf, and exploit viewers for content. The only times an unranked to gm isn’t really smurfing, is when they do something not optimal. Whether it’s chazm hitting people only, or someone who rarely plays a hero or doesn’t know how to play a hero. Ex. Life weaver and dafran, but it’s still iffy

@@juto8809 just because you can do something and it works doesnt mean it will always work. that is bad advice. i didnt say he should give advice for low ranks only. now he should be giving advice on how to climb, which you can do in t500 lobbies. he definitely still destroys low ranked lobbies, making the game worse than it should be. He is not showing people how to play like a plat tracer, he is showing them how to play like a t500 tracer in PLAT lobbies

Tracer is extremely meta though, so when played by the hand of the top dps player, she gonna be the easiest to rank up with. She's like a smurf hero at this point. Lifeweaver and Mercy are arguably the two hardest to rank up heroes (in the hand of the top player)

@@insecticaa Mercy isn't something out of this world, just like Moira, Torb and Sym. The AFK Mercys who stay giving damage boost say it all. As a main support and Mercy being one of my second mains, it's just about flying and descending quickly and dodging, nothing more. It's almost not necessary to aim to heal or give damage boost. Sym is good at defending and attacking maybe, but she is also a bit of an "AFK" hero just like Torb. Moira... her shot says it all, besides healing and doing damage in an area and having an escape ability... anyway, I would agree if we're talking about not comparing a Mercy with an Ana or a Sym with a Widow.

@@favlam1408 Mercy and Life are difficult to classify because they rely TOO MUCH on their other teammates. They are not like Ana who can carry a game but is somewhat "complicated" to play, which seems fair. A hero that can carry at the cost of being complicated to play, like Widow. Mercy and Moira depend on their teammates. Life has the worst win rate in the game, 0 damage, maybe healing but not better than others for healing which makes you dependent on your teammates. Do I need to say it for Mercy? Pd:Life has useful abilities... but not so useful at high ranks where everyone knows where they need to position themselves, when to engage, and when to disengage.

A lot of mercy’s can be boosted until like plat or diamond, but it also depends on how your team is. Moira doesn’t have to have that much game sense. positioning, or awareness. I recommend watching a top 500/gm mercy or sym video to see that not everything is just flying to someone while yellow beaming or just throwing turrets on the ceiling. I don’t think mercy or sym are as difficult as say, tracer or ana but that doesn’t mean they’re super easy. and they are definitely not as easy as torb and moira.
