Excellent, excellent book!!! I am an ex-Mormon and can confirm the information in each chapter. I walked away from Mormonism just before the pandemic. Lots of friends and some family still remain, however. I've accepted the true Jesus, and it's so very comforting to know I don't have to make Jesus accept me through my works, because Jesus already accepted me.

I am also a pioneer stock generational exmormom. My ancesters go back on both sides to Palmyra. One met Joseph. I had to leave due to King Follett Discourse gods, and many more heresies. The history is scary awful. My family wont look at the truth. It is sad. I found the Biblical Jesus . He is worth everything. Praise the Lord.❤

What an inspiring conversation! I have a wonderful daughter in law who is a believing Mormon, while our son and granddaughter belong to a Pentecostal congregation. You have given me deeper understanding of her beliefs, and a deeper understanding of how to approach her believes without creating a wall of resistance. I love her dearly and admire her dedication to our son, but long for the day when she accepts the truth of the biblical Gospel. Again, thank you!

Just my opinion, but if you want to have a deeper understanding of how your daughter in law understands the gospel of Christ and her relationship to him, you ought to talk to her instead of listening to a disaffected Latter-day Saint in this video. If you come from a place of respectful curiosity, I would imagine she would tell you all you wanted to know without creating any animosity. This coming from a Latter-day Saint.

My husband went before the Bishops Court three times he went to court and each time he was warned about damnation if he continued on this path to leave the church. Many Mormons have never heard of Bishops Court because they’ve never thought of leaving to have your name stricken from the vault records. After he was removed from the records no longer did missionaries walk down our side of the street - they would literally cross the street rather than walk in front of our house. .and we lived in Utah. .. there is a really good book called Unveiling Grace which is about an entire family who broke free in Christ and left the Mormon church..and she was a professor at BYU. I love hearing stories of this… many are still Mormon on my husbands side of the family and one of his cousins is a Bishop in SLC. Mostly they are cordial as family… and while living in Utah I became a born again Christian. ..1985.

Me too...My ancestor joined the Church in 1833 and knew Joseph Smith personally. He was also a member of Zion's Camp and a Utah pioneer. As President of the 1st Quorum of Seventy, he was also a General Authority. However, none of this has anything to do with me or my testimony. And even though I was raised in the Church and baptized at eight years old, I can honestly say that I am an adult convert. Sean, I'm LDS and have been a fan of your channel and your work for a long time. I find it disappointing that you fall into the same box I see many evangelicals in, where you talk ABOUT LDS folks a lot, but talk TO LDS folks very little, at least in your public content. If you had an active LDS individual in this conversation you could avoid a lot of misrepresentation which occurs. For example the Book of a Mormon does not say faith and knowledge are opposed, rather the opposite, faith is the first step in coming to knowledge. (See alma 32:27-37). Progress will never be made by beating up straw men like I see often happening when Evangelicals talk about my faith. That being said, I appreciate your work and content, wish ya the best.

@@HarryNicNicholasIf you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, believe He is the only begotten Son of God ( Jesus Christ is NOT the brother of Satan) who died for your sin on the cross and rose again, and have asked Him for forgiveness of your sin, and follow Him, then you are a Christian. There is no alternative. God has children, yes, when you ask Him for forgiveness. But He has no grandchildren. Every person must seek Him out themselves. Acts 2:38 tells us Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”. It’s complicated but simple at the same time. And once you accept the Lord Jesus Christ, you go to Heaven the instant you die. No guessing. It's not me wondering, should I or shouldn't I become a Bishop? You are called by the leaders above you. So I don't understand what you mean by he was almost a Bishop. Also, you said you were thrown out of the Temple by security. You wouldn't have got into the Temple without a recommend. Presumably you didn't have a Temple recommend?

"Doubt is not inconsistent with faith." @44:37 I used to think this was great. We want to be people who have mercy on doubters (Jude 1:22). Growing up, I did not feel my Christian circles had mercy on doubters. So I loved it when I found people who would say "Doubt is not inconsistent with faith." But some Mormons might also agree. Some anti-intellectual evangelicals will too. You can take "Doubt is not inconsistent with faith" in 2 ways. 1. Sean and Cory probably mean, you can have questions, and not be 100% certain about some things, but still have knowledge/belief/faith without certainty, and when it comes to true doubt (such as Thomas) the evidence will 'cure' the doubt. 2. What a Mormon or anti-intellectual evangelical might mean is that faith is believing without any evidence. And if you don't have evidence for something, then doubt is natural. But you need to have faith. So you muster up faith because there's no way to overcome doubt and you simply have both and there's nothing you can or should do about it. If you were to cure doubt, you would have no faith (because more evidence = less faith) There are several verses that do not work well with the second view. (John 20:27) "Stop doubting and believe." But the first view, is admittedly, a little misleading. Jesus juxtaposed belief and doubt (belief and faith are used interchangeably in the NT, Heb 11:6). I now say "Questions are not inconsistent with faith." And if I talk about "doubt" I put it in terms of "let's work towards a solution for the doubt."

A lack of a need for a supernatural being to explain the universe does not constitute superstition. As a member, I've read all that stuff, and it doesn't shake my testimony. There's always going to be a few bad people in any organization or people who just make mistakes. So, I don’t think I’ve ever commented on a KZbin video but I have a question for Corey or Shawn: if I understood correctly Corey talked about how it’s a more emotionally led religion and that they might not all know the deeper theology? This has always puzzled me. I have Mormon students and they all go to Bible study at 5 am to study both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. How is it that a religion that seems more dedicated to study than most Christian’s churches I know, keep it so shallow?

Why Do LDS Reject GOD of BIBLE & believe in FALSE GOD of Joseph Smith? Isn't your eternity worth examining the truth? NO truth: Book of Abraham published with 3 facsimiles taken from an ancient papyrus, shown to be a fraud years later. The book is a funerary papyrus showing scenes from the Egyptian Book of the Dead. In Facsimiles Nos. 1 & 3, Smith misidentifies everything depicted. "LDS and non-LDS Egyptologists agree that the characters on the fragments do not match the translation given in the book of Abraham" Quote from LDS OFFICIAL WEB PAGE NO trace of the “Two million Jaredites slain” (Ether 15:2), with iron, brass, breast-plates, shields, and armor. This is 3 times the # of Americans killed in the entire Civil War & Revolutionary War combined. NO trace of the great city Zarahemla- it would be impossible for a city the size of Zarahemla (Alma 5:2; D&C 125:3) to leave no trace NO trace of Jewish dna found in any Indian burial ground anywhere in the Americas from time period of BOM. Thomas W. Murphy, (Mormon scholar, DNA researcher):“We are in a dilemma, the genetic evidence shows that American Indians are not Hebrews, they are not Israelites. The Book of Mormon is not true.” John Whitmer Historical Association Journal 2005 NO temple like Solomon's described in 2 Nephi 5:16 has ever been found yet biblical temple remains in Jerusalem NO Nephite "reformed Egyptian" writings ever found anywhere as it is not a language found in the world NO cities mentioned in the BOM have ever been located (none of 38) anywhere NO evidence: "The whole land was covered with buildings, and the people were as numerous, as it were the sand of the sea." Yet not one ever located. (Mormon 1:7) IMPOSSIBLE for highly advanced civilizations (Jaredites, Nephites) & MILLIONS of people to have vanished The BOM speaks of sheep, swine, silk, wool clothing & elephants existing in the Americas when they did not. 1 Ne.13:7; Alma 4:6; Ether 9:17 and 10:24 These were brought to America centuries later by Europeans. NO wheat, no goats, no steel found in the Americas, no metal smelting furnaces, no metal armor, no steel swords, no cattle, no chariot parts, no brass (Mosiah 8:10) no evidence of the listed Kings in BOM, no Jewish relics or Jewish Temples from supposed Jews, no metal plates like Nephites supposedly used, no middle eastern seeds growing, "which were brought from the land of Jerusalem ... and grew exceedingly" 1 Nephi 18:24 There is NO archaeological, anthropological, topological, linguistic, botanical or dna evidence to support the Book of Mormon. LDS anthropologist Dee Green: “The first myth we need to eliminate is that BOM archaeology exists” conceding 20 years of research “left us empty-handed” (Green 1969 p. 77) CAN WE TRUST OUR HEARTS AS TO THE TRUTH OF THE BOOK OF MORMON since there is no evidence? D&C Section 9:8-9 - tell us that if something is true it will make our "bosom burn" and we will FEEL that it is right. This is NOT how the bible tells us to determine truth. Acts 17:11 "they... EXAMINED THE SCRIPTURES EVERY DAY to see if what Paul said was TRUE"; "TEST THEM ALL" 1 Thes 5:21 The best way to spot false teachers is to examine the TRUTH of the bible. 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV "STUDY to show thyself approved unto God, ... rightly dividing the word of TRUTH." 1 John 4:1 says: "BELIEVE NOT EVERY SPIRIT, but try the spirits whether they are of God; because MANY FALSE PROPHETS are gone out into the world." Maroni 10:4 says: "he will manifest the truth of it unto you" But: THE BIBLE WARNS YOU about trusting your own heart. Jeremiah 17:9 "the heart is DECEITFUL above all things". Proverbs 28:26 "He that trusts in his own heart is a FOOL." "The sum of your word is TRUTH" Psalm 119:160 Faith in a false God is of what value? Faith in the true God is invaluable. Mormonism is based on a PROVABLY FALSE claim the Bible was corrupted and "plain and precious parts" were removed by Christian translators after the apostles died. Yet, there isn’t ANY specific biblical scripture found ANYWHERE, EVER, that directly supports Joseph Smith’s translation of the Bible. AN OBJECTIVE TEST OF THE BIBLE AND THE BOOK OF MORMON: The Claim: In the BOM, the prophet Nephi has a vision the Bible was corrupted after the 12 apostles and after the formation of the “great and abominable church” (1 Nephi 13:26-29). Most Mormons believe this is the Catholic Church formed in the 4th century. Nephi claims this church was founded by the Devil (1 Nephi 14:3). So let’s objectively examine both the Bible & BOM to be fair and test for errors. BIBLE: The Dead Sea Scrolls have been dated to as early as 350 BC. One is the Great Isaiah Scroll, which is the oldest known copy of the Book of Isaiah dated to 180 BC. Do ANY ancient scrolls show Smith's "uncorrupted" version of scripture? NO! Yet they would if the scripture was later corrupted after the 12 apostles died as Smith said. Also, if they had been corrupted, Jesus would have corrected scripture instead of affirming it! Jesus sd:“ I told you EVERYTHING written about me in the Law of Moses, the Books of the Prophets, and in the Psalms had to happen.” (Luke 24:44-46) Scripture is the same today as it was 2,100+ years ago with only minor spelling or punctuation differences. Joseph Smith was wrong. These scrolls pre-dated Catholics, and are Jewish scrolls and the BOM says the Jews had the Scriptures in their "purity". 1Nephi 13:25 LDS Apologist Wayne Ham admitted the Isaiah scroll does not support the the BOM. Apologist Dr. Sidney B. Sperry, of BYU, said the Dead Sea Scrolls do not help the case for the BOM. BYU Professor Joseph F. McConkie: "Rather than Joseph Smith as Found in Ancient Manuscripts, it ought be Joseph Smith as Lost in Ancient Manuscripts.” (Religious Studies Center, 1984) IS THE GOD OF THE BOOK OF MORMON THE SAME ONE AS IN THE BIBLE? NO! "Before me NO god was formed, nor shall there be ANY after me.” (Isaiah 43:10) If Mormonism is true, then God could not make this claim, for he was just a man at one point; nor could he claim that no gods would come after him, for that is the goal of LDS members. Like Joseph Smith this was the goal of Satan, to be like God and have worshippers. "I will exalt my throne above the stars of God ... I will be like the Most High”’ (Isaiah 14:12-14) The new testament has not been corrupted either. See John 1:1 Smith changed it to make Jesus a created being. Research a 1900 year old papyri known as the Bodmer Papyri of the book of John. (written 150 AD, not long after the apostle John died) John 1:1 "In the BEGINNING was the WORD and the WORD was WITH God and the WORD WAS God." ΕΝ ΑΡΧΗ ΗΝ Ο ΛΟΓΟΣ ΚΑΙ Ο ΛΟΓΟΣ ΗΝ ΠΡΟΣ ΤΟΝ ΘΕΟΝ ΚΑΙ ΘΕΟΣ ΗΝ Ο ΛΟΓΟΣ (look up this ancient Greek yourself on google) John 1:1 Joseph Smith translation: "In the beginning was the gospel preached through the Son. And the gospel was the word, and the word was with the Son, and the Son was with God, and the Son was of God." Smith's Jesus is no longer God in the flesh but the biblical Jesus is: "God was manifest in the flesh" 1Tim. 3:16 KJV There are 4,000 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament. Some go back to 350 AD and NONE support Joseph Smith's claims that the bible of today has been corrupted. Papyrus fragments exist of the New Testament dated to 175 AD and show that the new testament has NOT been "corrupted". (New Testament Docs: Are They Reliable? Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 1967 pp. 15-17) In the LDS Church’s 147th Conf., Gen Authority Bernard P. Brockbank said: the Christ followed by Mormons is NOT THE CHRIST followed by traditional Christianity. (Ensign, May 1977 p. 26) The manuscript and archeological evidence for the BIBLE is the GREATEST in antiquity. I pray you know the true Jesus and not Joseph Smith's version. Galatians 1:8 "Though we, or an angel from heaven, preach ANY OTHER GOSPEL to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be ACCURSED." Matthew 24:24 warns Satan WILL send FALSE prophets and pose as an ANGEL of light! 2 Corinthians 11:14 God is much greater than the humanoid of Mormonism and NOT just ONE OF AN ENDLESS NUMBER OF GODS. Jesus said ALL scripture will NOT fade away but "many wolves in sheep's clothing" will come trying to ADD to the word. Mathew 7:15 Joseph Smith changed Jesus, the Father and ADDED you can become a GOD. It hurts my heart to see Mormons fall for the lie that we can become God when there is only one eternal God found in the bible. "The only men who become Gods, even the sons of Gods are those that enter into polygamy." (Brigham Young) Journal of Discourses 11 p.269 Apostle Orson Pratt, in The Seer, page 172, “the great Messiah who was the founder of the Christian religion was a Polygamist…the Messiah chose to take upon himself his seed; and by marrying many wives, … The son followed the example of his Father" God gave us critical thinking & logical reasoning for a reason, which is why he tells us to EXAMINE and TEST what we are being taught for TRUTH. The bible withstands the truth test. Joseph Smith's version fails the truth test. It's your eternity, study it for yourself. God bless.

I’m an active Latter-day Saint. I’m 16 minutes in, here are some take aways so far: 1. I always appreciate Sean’s fairness. It’s evident that that is a spiritual gift that he has & he is intentional about living into that. 2. Corey mentioned a few times that his grandfather was “almost” a Mormon Bishop. I’m surprised he said that because that description seems to indicate that he isn’t familiar with how the church operates. Bishop isn’t a ranking or an achievement, that one earns or qualifies for. Any adult man can receive that temporary assignment regardless of age or ability. In the modern church that calling is typically 3-6 years. He seems to be saying it to boost his credibility, but it did the opposite.

@@thetrollpatrol8799 Possible, but not likely. However, the the point I’m trying to make is that the way he is presenting it is misleading (whether it’s unintentional or intentional). The calling of a Bishop is not something that one aspires to “achieve”which is the way he seems to be presenting it. It’s a calling mostly involving pastoral care, & is very demanding. Unless the Bishop happens to be retired, the calling is in addition to having a career. Anyway, I’m not offended by it, but his critiques would hold more water in my book if there was less of that.

Probably not. As @bburl pointed out for a specific branch of Mormonism, the issue is their Scriptures and it is no clear way of solving the problem that they definitely disagrre with the Christian Bible. Also, historically it would mean to say that Joseph Smith was wrong in saying that all other churches were an abomination. There is just so much that needs to be discarded that it is even hard to say that, say, the book of Abraham is "good to read" when it has ideas like that God was once a man. This is something seen as extremely blasphemous by Christianity.

Many mormons elevate their heritage , membership , tittles , positions , and themselves accordingly. It is Christ who should be elevated. I too am an ex mormon.I found the lord that is spoken of in the bible , Not the spirit brother of satan , or the created jesus , but the eternal christ who was the word with God , and the word that was and is God. No organization of men can rise above our lord or elevate man in his stead. This is what Jesus does. Immitations fall short of what God can do .God Is the one true religion and he has given us his word ,that will not be minimized in order to promote another gospel that Paul warned us would attemp to do just that. No organization can save you , only jesus can and he does it freely and apart from institutions of self promoting men who seek power and influenceover their fellow man. This will never be stolen from Gods plan which is given to us in full through Gods word and will. One can be both sincere and scincerely wrong at the same time. Seek God , for he is the entire point and reason for everything . Give your focus to the right object and the gift of Gods simple grace will come to you.

I see 2 Nephi 25:23 used as proof that we believe in a works based salvation. I think this is wrong. If you want to say we believe in a works based salvation it would be better to point to Alma 11 where Amulek discusses the difference between being saved from our sins vs being saved in our sins. But if you call this a works based salvation then you must say the Bible teaches a works based salvation because the Bible teaches we must repent and turn away from sin. “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” We all have a responsibility upon accepting Christ to repent and follow him. We cannot truly repent and continue in our sins. This is what Amulek and the Bible teach. Repentance is not what Nephi is talking about when he says “we are saved by Grace, after all we can do.” Before we can understand this passage we need to understand Nephi and his time period. He is of the house of Israel living 600 years before Christ under the law of Moses. The rest of the chapter after that is all about the law of Moses. Vs 24 we keep the law of Moses, and look forward with steadfastness unto Christ, Vs 25 wherefore the law hath become dead unto us, and we are made alive in Christ Vs 27 Wherefore, we speak concerning the law that our children may know the deadness of the law; and they, by knowing the deadness of the law, may look forward unto that life which is in Christ, Vs 28 the right way is to believe in Christ and deny him not; for by denying him ye also deny the prophets and the law Vs 30 inasmuch as it shall be expedient, ye must keep the performances and ordinances of God until the law shall be fulfilled which was given unto Moses. Therefore it is my interpretation that Nephi is saying he and his posterity are saved by Grace after the law of Moses. (The law of Moses is all Nephi can do). He recognizes he is saved by Grace not the law of Moses. I am saved by Jesus’ Grace. He has offered himself a sacrifice for my sin. He has fulfilled the demands of Justice against me for my disobedience. I now want to follow him with my whole heart which includes turning away from all my sin and entering into his covenants which he has restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. It is my desire to follow Jesus that keeps my in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

In the end it makes little difference who founded a church if the founder was not God. This is not to attack other Christians. The most loving thing someone can do is to tell the truth. I was really nice to my Mormon missionaries and I let them ask me questions and explain their doctrine. They kept focusing on the verse from John 10:16..."And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice, and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." Jesus was referring to the Gentiles, but the missionaries took this out of context and used it differently. They wanted to hold hands with me and pray that God would give me THEIR "truth." ("Burning in the bosom, perhaps?") I answered, "the Holy Spirit has ALREADY told me that your religion and doctrine is false." I was really nice, but they were brainwashed. We prayed a short (rather generic) prayer, but we did not hold hands. They wouldn't listen to anything I tried to share from the Bible, but I wished them well and I was kind(for the first time). They go down a checklist...it starts off okay, but then they get to the part about..."do you believe that extra-Biblical REVELATION has been given to man through Joseph Smith?" I gave them a hard..."NO, I do not." Just wanted to share this real life experience. If given the same opportunity in the future, I would choose different verses and topics to discuss...now that I have studied Mormonism in depth.

It started in the Near East (in Palestine) then quickly spread through the middle east, Europe, Africa, and India. It is even an ancient relgion in China, given how long it has been there. In addition to the other commenter, I might mention that it is growing very rapidly in China after it was stamped out by the communists (though some Christians feld to Taiwan before they were killed). A significant portion of Koreas are Christian. Even though Christianity has spread a lot due to it being established in the West (meaning Europe and the USA) from where it spred to the rest of the Americas and many other places in the world, it is much more accurate to describe it as a middle eastern relgion because that is where it started and first started beign shared. If you look at the churches that Paul, Revelation, and the other churchers were written to, there was Jerusalem as the center and Antioch (in modern day Turkey) as centers, and there are many other places in Turkey like Ephesus and Laodicea. Corinth and Thessalonaica are in Greece. Rome is obviously in Italy. However, it was that Israel and middle eastern places that were the center of the Christian world, as can be seen by any map of Paul's missionary journeys where he founded some of the churches in Europe. All that said, it is definitively not a Western religion. There also isn't necessarily something bad about a religion being Western or Eastern. For instance, are native American religions Western? Is Viking norse religion Western? The greek or roman pagan pantheons? New Atheism? Yes. But that is not a reason to accept or reject them. It must be on their truth.

I like your channel and have watched many videos to date. And I certainly like your tone. With all due respect, as usual, there is so much misinformation in this video about the Mormon Church. And I say that in the kindest way because I have family members who left the LDS Church in their teens also and they just don’t have a good grasp of what the Church really teaches and what it means to be a true member, or as I would say it, a true disciple of Jesus Christ (yes someone can be a disciple of Jesus Christ who is not a member of the LDS Church). You’ve certainly seen this Sean with those who aren’t Christian or Athiests talking about the Bible or God or even your beliefs; they just don’t have it correct. Not much space here, but here are a couple of examples. To say that LDS Church members are not Christians because they believe differently than you is disingenuous. And my second point is closely related to the first. The LDS Church is probably the most intellectually powerful religion on the planet especially where it’s doctrine matches the Bible most closely. Thirdly, I’ve both seen and heard of people joining the church for the above reasons with the Holy Ghost of course being the one who confirms that truth. I would argue that Joseph Smith knew many things that he could not have known in his day. Even if someone uses the popular argument today (because he got so many things right so far) that he access to all of that information. Even if that historically inaccurate argument were true, how’d he guess which ones to use and which ideas of the day to leave out? What are the chances? The Book of Mormon does not teach that someone who prays about it after reading will always get a witness from the Spirit, nor does it delineate any timeframe. I appreciate all you do for the cause of Christ my Brother!

I left the LDS Church earlier this year after being a member for 14 years. I served in many teaching callings and wrote extensively online in defense of LDS Doctrine. I was very much in the mainstream of Church doctrine. But since leaving I have constantly been accused of not understanding the doctrine. Respectfully this is condescending and patronizing. I would argue that those who leave and become Evangelicals do so because they take the historical LDS doctrines seriously. For instance they do not gloss over decades of talks by leaders emphasizing the vital importance of works and perfect repentance in this life. They do not ignore or gloss over the King Follett sermon or the sermons of Utah leaders on things like Adam-God. My experience is Latter-day Saints gloss over all of this to focus on the best and most comfortable version of modern LDS doctrine.

God bless.

I'm only 3rd generation on my father's side. 2nd generation on my mother's side. But their faithfulness isn't what made me read the scriptures, and study the writings of good and bad. It actually took a bad marriage for me to learn to pray, and listen. Prayer and listening is something that many haven't learned to do. If you pray and listen you learn that Jesus Christ is real, and he heads The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Once you start to pick your beliefs apart and figure out what you truly believe, then you'll ultimately do that with any religion you land in after that. You get out of LDS, you'll do that with the Christianity you land in because you think you "Need" a religion, because you think there "has" to be a god. But if you examine it with the same critical thinking, it too unravels. And you know what? You'll be FINE. I'm way more than fine from leaving BOTH LDS and Christianity.

The fact is, you are completely deceived. There is one actual church and the Bible is the only truth the world has. Jesus only came to save a very few and none of these few are deceived by anything the Godless world calls the/a church.

Why Reject GOD of BIBLE? Isn't your eternity worth examining the truth? Faith in a false God is of what value? Faith in the true God is invaluable. Nobody thinks there has to be a god as a way of joining a religion. Common sense, logic, and realists acknowledge that language and information does not happen and develop on its own. Everything that we have learned, created, designed, and understood comes form knowledge and information and learning. Meticulously complex cells and systems don't just appear or evolve..the system has to be fully intact and operational for it to exist. Therefore, the only logical and common sense realist view is that an Intelligent Designer exists.

For truth. Joseph smith was a false prophet. All of what you said he gave up, is make-believe. Those things you want, all place yourself as the most important figure in your own story and do not honor and worship God. The ultimate goal of Mormon doctrine is the self. It is not God centered

Christian: “God hears unbelievers and loves them” You: “WHATTT THIS IS A LITERAL HATE CRIME” The above reply is an example of the snide remarks I get on many occasions from my posts. And to try to get it through the thick skulls of christians I want to reiterate that I have never cared about what christians say or believe. What I do care about deeply is the tyranny, hypocrisy and sanctimony that is FORCED upon the majority of citizens in my naition. Why is America the only democratic nation where the majority of its citizens are ignored and demonized? If a christian has answer to this question I would be very interested. I believe it has to do solely with the lie of christ which are exactly like the lies of fox news. When it comes to universal health care the majority is ignored and we get a broken for profit system and are called communists. The majority of American's want common sense gun laws and we get bubkis. The majority of Americans want the same freedoms for the LBGT community that we all have...and christians fight against that! The majority of Americans want women to have bodily autonomy and theists fight to force raped 10 year old little girls to give birth...the very definition of tyranny. From banning books, deleting black history, demonizing the LBGT community and actively fighting to destroy what little election freedom we have as nation Christians have always supported tyranny. Because once you can believe in one delusion you can then be manipulated to support men like Trump and vote against your very own interests. The greatest issues that face our nation are caused by poverty and ignorance and christians vote overwhelming for those who do everything in the power to destroy our education system and created an economic system that only benefits the rich. So again tell us how much you love us...but quit forcing your specific delusions and hypocrisy upon the majority of Americans!
