hi , maybe you know why cull distance not work in UE5 ? :( can you make the small video with this ? as i take a camera away to the 30-40 metres the grass is not showing themself

Hi, there , thanks much for reply. But the problem has been solved. There was somthing wrong in that file. When I did it the same way in another file it worked fine. So its going fine now . welcome to the channel , to be able to edit your landscape in the way you have mentioned i belive you can edit a mix texture inside quixel mixer and have different textures overlapping on a single surface mesh , the surface thickness some times create more details to deal with in most of the time , please let us know if this help

hey man, good day, i made a simple model in 3ds max and its having problems 1 it won't show blend material with tessellation on, it does work with tessellation off however scale off material is messed up(its tooo small) however other materials with tessellation on works fine but scaling issues remains while same materials on others meshes seems to be doing absolutely fine. 2 somehow got the blend materials working after exporting it through FBX format, drag and drop inside the content browser and then in scene. Can you help me understand what wrong i did. Thank you

it seems like its an issue in the modeling process , can you try and add UVW map on the object and export again using data smith and try the material again

I’m just starting your tutorial course, it is pretty amazing, thank you! I have three questions regarding the foliage: 1- Is there a way to have more control on the paining tool (it often spreads the foliages to far from the mesh) 2- How can we give some wind in the ferns (when I activate the wind on its master material, it does work while it does for the grass) 3- Would you have a special technic to add foliage on edges or corners? Usually, it is where the vegetation is growing.

Hi gamer973 , thank you and for the lighting setting we basically mix a directional light with an HDRI sky and the GPU setting is NumPrimaryGISamples=32 NumSecondaryGISamples=16 also try to increase your light map resolution as carfeullay as you can enough to see a good smooth shadows and also the post-process can help please check our tutorial for that cant wait to see your tests if you would like to share

@@theimageneers5161 i have a problem with my hdri : i put it on static and it is overlapping by 50% . Unluckly , the hdri backdrop has one uv channel nothing else . I cannot change the uv channel .

@@Gamer-sv2mz you can set HDRI to movable if you will enable raytrace that help you control the lighting , but for light build project its recommended to set it to stationary it will support movable objects also

@@FatalisArx Try doing this on a small exerciser on another project file just to make sure that the technique is working with , if yes , then i would suggest investigating the meshes to see if you have a hidden face thats not visible .

Hi! for Megascan pack I downloaded, do I have to add the entire pack to the project even if there are only a couple of assets/materials I will be using. Say, if the pack is like 2GB, will this add up to the project file size? Thanks for replying as always, your tutorial is such a big help.:D

There is a checkerboard pattern node now. Multiply your base color by it and supply it with landscape coords node multiplied by a scalar for control of UV scaling
