I feel like "true fps" is a way for people to not have to source proper FPS animations. Unfortunately, I will not be doing this. But I will be adding a first person mode in the future. It will likely be 100% procedural so that you would only need reload animations for each weapon

I tried it out today… very nice! How do you change the character mesh? I swapped it out with a character that is rigged to UE4 many, which usually works, but could not copy and paste the Virtual bones, any advice on how to properly swap out the mesh and use this with a custom character?

I have a tutorial on my documentation site (you can track that down on Patreon) for adding characters with the UE5 manny but if you need to use a character that has a UE4 manny, you need to use UE's live retargeter.

Take this template as a learning. See how he did logical work. Take animations from it. And start making it for mobile. It will take your some time but I am sure current version of this template will not be optimised for mobiles.

What version of UE5 it's for? i mean there are many versions of UE5 like 5.3,5.4 and also if it's for higher versions will it work for 5.3 ? EDIT: It's for 5.4 i see.. any chance you would make 5.3 version? :(

It's possible that it could still be opened using 5.3. But if not, then it's using things specific to 5.4 so I can't really make a 5.3 version.

Sigh… fine. I’ll switch from Unity to Unreal. Unreal just has so much stuff that looks professional out the box Unity has good stuff but nothing this quality especially for free. This does what my paid TPS character controller does but better

Hi there! Im a unreal engine 4.27 developer. I really want to know if i can make it work on UE4. I really don't want to use UE5 as it is very unoptimized and hard to work in because of the lags Im sure it will work easily except for the car which needs the Chaos physics. I don't think this is possible. There are a number of UE5 exclusive features and blueprint nodes being used.
