Just wondering but would love to see a breakdown of another hand on the final game of gold episode where @fedorholz folded a SMALL FLUSH that he got on the turn with 5/6 or 5/4 in a 3 way pot and Maria wound up winning with on the river?

As the hand was happening i was also thinking fedor should bet bigger. Without a Diamond in his hand even more crucial to value beting bigger and not 20%. Just gave Maria a nice price to get to her straight (or drew to the Nutflush).

if you're Fedor sizing up MH's starting hand and you're holding pocket queen's, then you know that on that board, pocket queens are definitely not part of her range

Thanks for the video! You first tell that KK is a possible hand to flat with pre-flop to balance the play. But then in the analysis you don't account them in and say that QQs are more likely holding while Fedor blocks most QQ. Can you explain me how you get to this thought as this is all a bit new to me? Or is it just based on the fact that you presume that she would always raise her KK here and therefore it cannot be in her hand range?

That would be the case I pretty much all spots when dealt KK in this position facing an utg raiser and an all-in. KK biggest weakness is an Ace on the flop. Most calling hands are going to contain an Ace. You want to isolate with KK because you're facing an all in which likely has an Ace, you don't want to lose more by allowing another Ace to get priced in, and then have to fold when an Ace comes on the flop. KK, reraise over the top, or all-in to fold out Ax. If Kyna hadn't gone all-in, KK could be in Maria's range, because heads up KK does very well. It's only because of Kynas shove that you can remove KK from Maria's range when she flat calls with Fedor still to act.

1. I kinda disagree with the part on Kyna. It's probably bad to shove A4s for 27bb in most tournaments, but she knows she's the sucker at this table where it's winner take all. There's no ICM, she's not outplaying anybody long term post flop. Gambling is fine. 2. I think the range you gave Maria was interesting. Tbh I think 88-99 and AJ were a bit generous. The chip count displayed right before the hand was Maria 120bb, Fedor 111, Jungle 64, Yoh Viral 46, Kyna 27. 27bb is quite a lot when she invested nothing yet. Also I don't think AKo's out of the range. Maria has double Jungle's chips and Fedor has an equivalent stack. I actually think Maria was planning on folding AK and preserving 93bb if Fedor shoved. 3. I agree about bet sizes. Maria's already down to a narrow range. Given it's QJ8, the only flush was AKdd, stuff like AA/KK/JJ/AQ totally call more. The question for me is does Fedor just shove 3.8M on the turn after betting 1.2M on the flop and creating a 7.3M pot, and does Maria fold KK or even AA no diamonds then? I wonder if this is the reason Fedor couldn't discount 99dx/AJ here. Those tiny bets could've allowed a wider range to continue. 4. I think Kyna had a really bad poker face, so they probably knew Kyna had nothing. Also by river side pot stood at 4M while main pot was about 5M. So I do think there could be some incentive to bluff the side pot. She probably does win against Kyna. But this is Maria Ho, does she really come up with this with AdQc under a clock to get Fedor off KK? And AJo is quite a stretch for calling pre. 5. I would honestly give her all the AKo's, but I think she needs to have AdKx to call turn. Even AxKd is kinda dicey cuz if Fedor has AdQx/AAdx, she doesn't have a flush draw. But Fedor did bet tiny enough that if 99dx couldn't be discounted, AxKd shouldn't be either. So at least 4 combos of AK, possibly up to 7 but not sure. 6. There is the question of whether Maria could value bet worse though. A lot of people said she's not betting a set, but Fedor also only has AKdd for a flush here. And I don't think Fedor could have a straight. AKdx looks like a pretty draw, but it's really just A high. Piling on the flop and turn is not a great idea if Kyna could win with 77. So if Maria has JJ, Fedor really only wins with AKdd and QQ here. It might not be entirely unreasonable for her to bet? Is it because this is Maria Ho and she checked back AK against AA that we're totally discounting this? 7. I do agree that this is impossible to think through in 5min in real time under the pressure. So I don't think this was particularly bad by Fedor, even if we disagree on AKo, JJ, 99... but I do think he could fold. 1.8M looks small in the pot but it's 30bb. He could fold and still have a stack between Jungle and Yoh Viral. Yeah Maria would have a monster stack but his stack would still be playable. I think in terms of overall game plan you just don't want to get to heads up with Jungle (but Fedor probably doesn't mind that either). Letting Maria have this wouldn't be that terrible.

Can't you just discount basically all of the AdKx combos for Maria? She should bet/raise those on the flop. And why do you discount a blocking bet with JJ or TT entirely? Fedor has no 9x, basically no AK and without the Ad very few flushes as well. I don't see Maria bluffing with this sizing with AdQ, but she can valueown herself with a worse hand.

Maria never, EVER bluff at this spot with side pot against fedor and without position on him. I know it myself and Maria just said it after the game aswell. She can bluf in general, even without good card/Equity, but against weak opponent and with good live tells. So Fedor just gave Maria 1.8m, and it was huge mistake.

I don't agree with the commentators...they're way overthrowing the hand and their announcing is like watching a football game and the commentator says and or changes the conversation according to what they already have seen and know.
