Does Velka 7 comes with riser cable? Or need to buy separately?
@xescdelarosa33286 ай бұрын
@@jeremyg2236 if you buy the 7 version 2.1 then it should come with a riser cable. If you get the 3.0 (the latest) then you will have to buy it separately
@xescdelarosa33286 ай бұрын
@@jeremyg2236 the 2.1 comes with the riser cable included. In the 3.0 it is not included so you'll have to buy it separately. Honestly the 2.1 is the best offer in my opinion and not because of the free riser cable but for being the smallest velka 7 and highest build quality of them all in my opinion. The front plate is thicker and sturdier than in the 3.0 and the metal is not rough textured

Compared to the apelfohn black ridge (the latest model) what do you think is better?
@preytorben6 ай бұрын
@@xescdelarosa3328Black ridge and this are both GOAT material for their form factor. I don’t think there is conclusive proof of either one being more than marginally better than the other. The fact of the matter remains that you can’t beat physics and at some point you’ll only get better cooling with a larger heat sink and fan.

@cognacbrown4 ай бұрын
I think the key here is that it supports 47mm LP CPU coolers. If its Velka 5, then its down to 37mm and the CPU options narrow further. I ordered the Velka V3 version. Not sure why it provides an extension hat. I'd rather they provide the extension cable. Unless of course the extension cable does not allow full passthrough. Another peculiar thing is that even as I ordered both the case and the riser together, they are sent separately. I've received the case but not the riser cable......

I've been trying to re-build the prototype Steam Machine in the original case, and ultimately have failed. I don't want to modify any original parts and I'm at the end stage with the case cover having interference fit with the motherboard CPU power connector. Looking at your build here, I've used a LOT of the same components, so at least I'll be able to swap them into a nice, travel-sized case. Sad, but thankful for your advice on this.
