Reminds me of Alex Lifeson/Rush kinda tones. EQ is well balanced. Not to woofy in the bass, not to bright. Lots of note definition in the chords.Sounds great.

Sounds a lot like my Plexitone but with adjustable mids and boost. Very accurate sound as the core tone is not overly saturated. Pete is excellent at running any pedal through the paces and showcasing its potential. Great job.

I had to buy the Drybell Unit 67 after you demoed it, although it was a bit pricy. Now I will probably have to buy The Engine as well, and I was expecting a higher price really. As usual, killer demo that could easily be developed into a full blown song, along with several others you've done.

Pete, you continue to impress me on so many levels. Your understanding of good gear and good tone knows no rival. You are a tremendous musician who writes great riffs. You're a good person. You understand music, entertainment, and performance. What I would love to see from you is for you to hitch on to a great, commercially successful band - where you write all or most of the music and have a good, charismatic singer that can put great lyrics to the catchy songs that you'd be guaranteed to compose. I think that that's the only thing that you have left to achieve. You definitely could do it. And, I think you would be tremendous at it. I want to see this because many would be immensely entertained by it, you'd enjoy it, and those of us who have followed you through everything else would appreciate it. I hope to see (or hear) that one day. By the way, this device is cool. Great gear demo, as always.

It sounds like another amazing pedal from Drybell. I never heard of Drybell until I seen Pete Thorn's review of the Drybell Vibe Machine, I ended up buying a Vibe Machine shortly after and it's amazing, really inspiring. I can't wait to try The Engine...conveniently its nearly fathers day so my wife can't complain I'm buying another pedal, she'll wish she could but I'm calling The Engine my fathers day gift.

The pedal sounds great for sure, but I think the guy demoing it is part of how good it sounds here. Pete, I have watched quite a few of your pedal demos and I think you’re my favorite guitar player I have discovered in recent years, and you always have everything dialed in just right. It’s amazing how good you always sound in these videos. Keep doing what you’re doing!

I have the Bogner LaGrange pedal, which has a boost after the plexi drive section. I wonder how these two pedals would compare? The LaGrange doesn't have the Rangemaster effect in front, but conversely, the post gain boost also has value as far as signal chain strategy. I wonder also how this compares to the new Hi-Power pedal sound.

If you fellas don’t mind sharing.......I’m genuinely interested👍. I had a stock reissue 1959X......but didn’t have the right speakers, pups, or pedals to use it like it was intended. @@Auen73 I still have my '71superlead, I had "power scaling" added- a non invasive mod which enables me to dial down the voltage on the amp and get that powertube saturation at a much lower volume without damaging the the amp itself as it adjusts bias and maintains heater voltage- similar to the low setting on a sl68- that said its still a bit loud w/ a 4x12 in the house with the wife (approx 98 db) so to shave a couple more db I have deployed the rivera reactive load- which does the trick. it also allows me to use my '87 -2205 to run as a separate "wet" rig-

Great playing and great sounding pedal! If this is in the Top 3 Marshall in a Box, I’d be curious to know what the other two in the top would be! I’ve been through many MIAB pedals and some were great and some were just ok to me. I believe the Marshall Plexi of the 60’s and 70’s is the quintessential rock crunch sound. Currently I have Origin Effects RevivalDrive Compact, Rockett Majestic, and Pettyjohn Gold MKII. Like I said…I love the Marshall Plexi sound! Thinking about getting this also!

Seriously this one is the closest I've heard. He even said it sounds rather close to the one sitting right behind him. I'm thinking of getting this because it does the Plexi thing, but also very tweakable without being going too deep.
