I love how everyone was when Matt wanted to AMRAP 405. The grown men told him to chill out, take the 570 as a win, and call it a day since that was ALREADY a 40lb PR jump. Then, you have Matt who doesn't even argue nor talk back once. He looked them dead in the eyes and said "ok". Much respect to all.

@@dfpguitarthat’s pretty cool to know didn’t realize it was like that in the UK. The US or at least where I lived was completely different in 2008, where you could find nice gyms everywhere. Even at the age of 10 or 11 the public school I went to had weightlifting class where they taught squat, bench, deadlift, power cleans and jerks. I believe American football culture had heavy influence on why it’s been so popular to have available gym equipment since the 70s and 80s for most of the country

If he's 19 he's going to be looking at a severe pec tear very soon. No way his tendons have had enough time to strengthen to those levels.

I'm fed up with these videos... I understand they use unrealistically heavy weights, but come on - lifting the butt off the bench, relying on elbow wraps, no pause... I don't appreciate these standards!
