People have often asked me how I learned to use Unreal Engine so I thought it may be interesting to show people what my work actually looked like when I was still very new to it. Don't allow mine or anyone else's work intimidate you, everyone starts out doing less than stellar work! Yes this map looks horrible, yes the gameplay, visuals, and all of the above are crap but as a young kid wanting to make video games I didn't care. It was my goal to reach a level of quality that the guys at Epic Games were pushing back at the time and it drove me with a strong desire to get into the gaming industry from a very young age!
A friend recently let me know that he still had some of my original UT1 maps on his old computer! These maps were both made between 2002-2003 when I was about 13-15 years old and were made a few years before i had access to the internet and publicly released my first map. I haven't seen these videos personally in 12-15 years and had forgotten one of them even existed! I thought these maps had been lost forever, very happy to have them back! :D

Wow this is depressing. My dream of making video games started with SNES..I even hand wrote Nintendo to find out how to get started and was surprised when they actually replied. I started with the original Unreal making maps and even programming a third person camera to mimic Mario 64. You continued and reached epic levels with it while life and maybe playing games more than making them, got in my way. I need to get back into this :(
