Is there any kind of cheaper solution to the camera tracker for this exact usage (virtual production on led wall connected to the real time unreal engine) ?? Because that HTC Vive Mars is around 7k USD.

The thing is what happens if it rains or spilled with water or what happens if some background character breaks the screen. Green screens can be replaced easily.

This is not one giant screen it’s made up of small LED screens the size of a monitor. If something happens all you do is replace that one piece like a tile and you move on, takes literally a minute to do.

plus, they are often waterproof since you can use it for the outdoor led screens for like festivlas etc.

How much does a virtual production setup cost?

the wall is made out of smaller LED blocks that you put toghether like puzzle (in any shape you want) and it costs around 500 usd for a square meter. if you want to save money you don't have to buy Arri, but you can work with Sony FX6 for example (that's around 6000 usd) plus some mid-range cine lenses, at least two of them, like 125mm and 50mm (XEEN cine lenses costs like 2000 usd each), plus very strong PC (3000 usd), lights (at least another 3-5k to have some basic stuff), camera tracker is around 6000 usd, all the other equipement for a camera rig, all the cables, all monitors, rent of some big and empty place for the whole set up. I would say that it would cost you around 30 000 usd without the led wall. The led wall would cost you around 15 000 usd for a 30 squared meters wall which is still pretty small. But the complete price for a virtual production would be around 45k-50k usd, and that's the cheper solution.
