I did not expect this song to be so important, not only it's the final version of "A Sound For Lonely" people, but someone on Twitter found out that the vocal chops from Shelter come from this song. This feels more like the final piece of the puzzle, what an amazing way to celebrate the 10 anniversary of one of the best EDM albums ever made

yeah its crazy how all the pieces fell together with that. also to clarify about the shelter chops, back in 2016 during the release of shelter, porter did a live stream where he played shelter on stepmania, and that stream was also kinda a q&a session about shelter. so someone asked where the vocal chops came from, and porter said its amy millan from a song from the worlds era. and yeah people's heads exploded today when all the dots were connected. edit- here's that clip kzbin.info/www/bejne/oISXdZuel5ibr7csi=OO6yRvX_SoPJ2Wkn&t=679

We’ve been hoodwinked, bamboozled, lead astray, run amok and flat out deceived. It was A Sound For Lonely People the whole time.

I feel Hollowheart is a satisfactory track in a vacumn, but at the same time, I do have a even greater appreciation for the song knowing that it always going associated with the context of the album. Even though it is canonically an interlude track, Hollowheart sounds more befitting of being the concluding song since it in line of with message constantly conveyed throughout Goodbye to a World. I view it as the AI's remnant voice articulating that they're content with ceasing to exist, right as the melody ever-so slightly fades out.

I really love that for 10 years, we had a puzzle we didn't know was given to us, and only today, through Hollowheart did we figure out that a lot of the tracks we know and love now, stemmed from a track that we didn't get to hear for so long until today.

honestly never knew worlds had such a rich story. that is very cool

Such a good interlude. Apparently it didn't make it in because Porter submitted it too late

The moment "we'll leave" hit. Worlds Live nostalgia.

What I found really poignant and touching about the release of Hollowheart (however coincidental the circumstances that allowed this may be) is that for Worlds being an album about nostalgia and the emotions that come with losing media due to time is that with this new release a decade later, Worlds gets to have this hurrah that it too has in its own way entered this dichotomy. I'm 20 now, around the same age that Porter was while making Worlds, and I have the same nostalgia from hearing Worlds when I was 12 that he did for the virtual worlds that died that led him to create Worlds. So rarely do we get a chance with any media to relive it for the first time all over again a decade later. Him being able to release Hollowheart like this is really special. Also, you're a really great orator. Your tone is consistent and clear, I want to give you props for that because being able to speak that way is a developed skill.

I did love Worlds right away, but I’ve only grown more appreciation for it over time. And like you said, the production and sounds hooked me at first but going back and discovering the narrative was a great journey. Happy 10 years!!! And yes Hollowheart is beautiful! Very glad to have it now.

Will you be checking out the live album when that eventually comes out? Would love to see a review from you to see how crazy the songs go in comparison to the studio versions

A live album is gonna come out ???? When did porter say that ?
@SpitfireTheWolf3 ай бұрын
@@sayaksanyal6396 it's on sale right now as a vinyl format, but so is the rest of the worlds 10th anniversary stuff. Porter said it was a line-in recording of the live edits he did for SS19 (meaning it comes directly from his setup)

Hey man. Loved the reaction! Was wondering if you could try a listen to Sasuke Haraguchi? Idk if you'll like his song, but it's definitely interesting and imo worth the listen! If you ever get the chance to listen I'd recommend his album "acetone". Thanks and have a nice day :)
