Looking at this match makes me feel as if mega-man is a good match up against marth. He just flat can outs space him with the numerous projectiles, his Aerials have a bit more priority, and simple mega-man things like patient neutral with a lot of pellets jab resets and a falling up airs can get a lot of percentage very quickly. Of course it's not like marth can't fire back because marth still has a good kit. F-air and N-air are still great approach options as is dancing blade. Not to mention that marth has arguably better kill options with tipper mechanics and rage something like a raged tipper shield break is super dangerous beyond 50%. Also raged counter could shake up mega-man and really shift momentum. But seems like an interesting match up I'd like to see more of.

There is a megaman in my local tournaments that always wrecks me as a Lucina main. I thought it was a tactics thing, but now I'm thinking I should just get a counter pick secondary for this match.

SHADE I agree. Good projectile characters are a nightmare for my two main characters, Falcon and Marth, so I've had to pick up secondaries for matchups like Duck Hunt, Link and Villager. Link I've just adjusted to using Falcon and Marth, and Duck Hunt is a pain, but has plenty of weaknesses, but Villager forced me to pick up Cloud and Fox as possible counters, and even then I still have problems with tactics.

Characters like Cloud or Marth generally has no chance against Mega Man, given the fact he's just a projectile shooter. I recommend players like those to use characters with reflect skills [especially mario].

It's even, but only because to Marth its lolfair2win against low level Mega Man, where as Mega Man can actually capitalize on Marth's aerial approaches and punishing the laggiest ground moves hard. As either character, it hurts them bad if they are predictable. Sounds like a no-brainer, but its so true!
