Once a year we do 4 player tournaments with family (first to-10 wins). Nice to see Ayame (Mum's main) Gunrock (Dad's main), Falcon (brother's main) and Rouge (my main) high in the list :)

8:59 all wall attacks have full invulnerability until they leave the wall, except for pride and Mel. Wang-tang also has a guaranteed combo in both forms if he lands his running wall attack that launches the opponent in the air that you can easily follow up with an Air combo.

wangtang can combo off of his wallbounce tho, just jump and attack after its guaranteed damage. Prides missiles can do insane damage if hes really close to opponents, I swear ryoma is A Tier galuda and gunrock got the most health, for 2v2s theyre actually a broken team.

Indeed Wang-Tang gets a free combo in both forms after landing his running wall attack. Galuda and Gunrock are solid IF they can catch their opponent. Gunrocks worst match up is Accel and Ayame since he can’t run away from either of there moves at all. Julia with anyone teamed up is already a strong team lol. Julia is secretly top tier and slept on. Her and Mel have a wall attack infinite😈

I already knew Ayame was gonna be the best. It didn't take long for me as a kid in the 2000's to realize it. lol Pete's supers are actually quite good when used properly, it's only the airplane super that is trash.

Makes sense that Pride and Mel would both be bottom tier, as they were secret characters based on Falcon and Julia but altered slightly to differentiate them from each other.

Rouge's air projectiles are underrated. You can trap people with them since they stick for a bit, then combo into ground projectile.

This is a really solid tier list. I have a few points of disagreement, but they're just a tier or two difference. I think Ryoma is a little better than you give him credit for, and Accel and Falcon are B-tier. Also, Gourmand I would put at least B-Tier. The name of the game is annoy and demoralize. If you’re in a 1v1 with Gourmand, as soon as those pigs start flying, youre cooked (pardon the wordplay). Also, i think Jack is the worst character in the game. The only thing good about him is is jump height. His dive kick is often more of a liability than an asset. At least Pride has power, and Mel has mobility and money bags

Jack is definitely better than Mel and Pride is high risk high reward character. Mel and Pride are the only 2 characters in the game that don’t have s on their wall attacks. Ryoma is solid in the right hands but against characters that have better projectiles he’s in trouble. Accel is top tier in the right hands. Base form he has some of the best combo potential in the game and when he gets stone and items he’s a menace. Gourmand is one of if not the best big heavy weight due to his kit. Gunrock I wouldn’t place better than him due to his size and horrible speed but once transformed Gunrock is high tier. Falcon is top tier easily due to his combo potential and kit base form and being the only character besides Ayame to have a double jump.

I'll be playing powerstone how i play smash, with a ton of my friends messing around doing crazy stuff and having a good time. I have no interest in playing this batshit crazy borderline party game in any type of hardcore way.

Ayame helped me win a lot of local and at home tournaments. Though I can use any character in the game, Ayame is top tier, and definitely who I turn to if my human opponent turns out to be better than expected.

a lot of people dont understand what makes power stone so hype, i think you should def try making a video kind of going over your favorite power stone moments or just dissecting clips and break down what makes it so special that power stone is BACK

can we get a Power Stone 2 Item Tier List? Love to hear your thoughts on the items. One thing I always loved about the characters is even if they are low. You can still wreck some people with a well timed item or stage hazard.

Power Stone 2 player here from the arcades way back when. Have only finished halfway through the video but I have a couple of notes. A lot of missed things from reviews of each character. You reviewed grounded wall bounces but failed to review air wall bounces which has different properties to ground ones. There are also some other moves that you fail to take consideration like pole attacks, both grounded (for non-large characters) and air, as well as normal into heavy combos which some characters are good at and bad at. Jumping attacks are also not mentioned much other than in mobility options with characters like Jack. Some character specific moves like Julia's or Gourmand's low jumping attack hits aren't even hinted. You also did not point out which supers are good on a countdown situation (when more than 2 players are still alive after a set period of time). Some supers still come out despite being hit (i.e. Jack's, Ayame's, Gourmand's, etc.) which makes them scary if they're transformed prior to the countdown. -Pride's wall bounce can be interrupted and does not have invincible frames. -Wangtang's wallbounce not having invincible frames from the start is not true. He's invincible the moment you hit the button. -Jack's wall bounce not removing power stones is because his wallbounce requires you to hit his jumping normal after hitting. -Jack's movement alone (similar to Rouge) makes him higher tier than what you place him. Sure he has terrible normals when transformed but he has decent enough supers to make up for it. But in a game where mobility is important, his super fast movement sets him apart from most. -Pete's normals during transformation not tracking is not the weakness you point it out to be. First, it does decent damage. The fact that it doesn't track means you can shoot where you think the opponent is going to evade to which means it has a higher skill ceiling than tracking fireballs do. Plus, it's one of the few transformation normals you can combo with. -Julia. While a skilled Julia can stunlock people with her transformed normals, a skilled player will know to stick to walls or any obstacles so they recover grounded OR change their break timing to mess up the Julia player's timing. I'm sure there are more but I don't have time to finish the entire video while also typing corrections I can find. Note that this comment isn't to diss you or discredit your expertise. I'm sure you're a seasoned player but I would just like to point a different perspective.

Also i feel Like Ayame is The only character that should be nerfed. Her shurikens are unavoidable and while they juggle you she can look for Stones in peace.

Pride landing his rockets up close is the end for anyone. I purposely don’t play with default health on with my friends due to how much damage can be done in so little time🤣Ayame is just good for no reason but at least her health is bad.

@@Shotsoma falcon is similar with The Rockets but not as deadly . I Play with max HP . With Ayame The only thing u can do is stary close to a wall. U will get hit once and collide with The wall gaining some recovery time to stop her from gaining more Stones.

You can also mash buttons for Prides 2nd super to extend the animation and deal more damage. It's a lot of fun to use!

Gunrock, not my favorite unless i want to win a free for all, damage wise, he can go toe2toe with transformations and when transformed someone will be ko'ed. Gourmand and falcon tied in 2nd heavy hitters, accel really good and annoying. Rouge is really good as well and annoying and Ayame is a better version of wang tang. Julia is very solid when transformed. My personal fav. Ryoma is solid both transformed and good range without stones plus have a grab when jumping from a pole which is good vs transformed.

As a Julia main, her aerial attacks, pole swing attack and pole jump attack are some of the best in PS2. Also, Queen’s Mischief is superior to Merry Go Round in more situations. As QM can be done 4 times and most characters can’t escape it quickly if they were enslaved or not. Also, Julia is REALLY good at killing low health characters (Ayame, Jack, Mel, Pride) really well. Just some tips for anyone looking to main her.
