Moxley (and pac and a few others) is the perfect example of what makes AEW thrive. They're taking wrestlers who fans absolutely loved but who wwe just didn't want to push. I remember watching WWE and watching them use ambrose as some midcard friend of roman reigns and being like "this dude could be the next big thing, wtf are they holding him back for?"

The reason why i am still watching wrestling is jon moxley and to some extent jericho I was not even aware about aew when aew was about to launch their very first ppv that was double or nothing I purchased that ppv when i found out jon moxley was there Before aew wasn't even a thing for me and i was thinking mox would go with njpw and his teaser made it clear though Moxley was that very character people thought kenny omega would be Everybody thought omega would be the face of aew but it was moxley who became first ever face to win aew world championship and their 2nd ever as well He carried aew throughout pandemic era Things were getting boring but i sticked with aew as main event scene was still stacked through pandemic His promo skills his brawling his technical ability he elevated that title And is the best aew champion so far I can only imagine how huge his heel turn will be considering his promo skills and story telling ability He is the aew original and i love that he introduced me to aew

That's a stupid idea, and I think someone with a background in Japanese wrestling like you can make a really good argument why brand splits don't work unless you have the same circumstances as Cyberfight or Bushiroad's ownership of NJPW and Stardom.

Jericho was a big name for AEW, but he was already past his prime by years by 2019. Moxley joining despite WWE wanting him to resign was huge. Who knows how big the plans were for heel Ambrose(Moxley) before it was known he wouldn't be resigning. The way they gave him an exit tour was very telling that they wanted him to come back. Guy was 33 years old. Jericho was almost 50. Say what you want about his WWE title reign. I will say his AEW title reign was what sunk NXT. The guy carried the gold in a very trying period for a company less than a year old . I know many want to see a fresh name carry the interim heavyweight title, but I would give it to Moxley. He deserves a chance at being the champion in front of a live crowd. Heck we have yet to see heel Moxley, and I feel like that guy could emerge if CM Punk beats him when he returns(hopefully by All out). Imagine a savage Moxley beating the crap out of Punk in Chicago.

His previous aew championship reign was complete savage and legendary. He made that young main event look so stacked. He made brian cage, mjf, darby allin, lance archer and eddie Kingston main event worthy. It felt like he was just made to be the aew world champion. I was so much invested in his title reign that i was in utter shock when omega pinned him cuz'at the point i was convinced that no one could beat him even though i know it is scripted. And he is the sole reason for me watching wrestling till now. His heel turn is inevitable and that is going to be an important event for aew. In my pov, moxley should turn heel by betraying bcc. By beating the living crap out of bryan Danielson and wheeler yuta. Then Bryan Danielson can go on for the world championship as a face and mox can dominate the division till he wins the world championship. That story writes itself and he was also teasing heel turn before going to rehab. So i am all excited for his title reign and that heel turn will be epic and that's for sure

I've been a AEW fan since day one and I didn't know that they got fined by Maryland LoL. I watched All-In and wondered what would be next and that's when they announced a new company and Chris Jericho came out to talk and I raised my eyebrow thinking I'm going to get behind this for better or worst. I grew up a WWF fan and became a WCW fan until it became repetitive and started watching WWF again and it changed to where it was exciting to watch and I couldn't wait for next week. Anyway that's why I'm a fan of AEW it leaves me wanting more and I can't wait to watch next week.

But yes,once Mox was in AEW,this was when we started seeing many more WWE guys,and bigger names leaving for AEW. I believe Mox was that driving force that got these new and amazing signings. if AEW was to die tomorrow, he would never go back to WWE. The creative hasn't changed and he refused a big money off to stay in WWE well before AEW's existence because money isn't what mattered. and as for MJF... yeah nah. MJF wouldn't be allowed to do anything he is currently doing. WWE controls every single promo that a their wrestlers say. And MJF would never be allowed to give a promo as good as he does now because it is written by some writer who has zero experience in the industry.

Great video,but I think it's time Mox goes full heel. Instead of the antihero guy,he could be a loner or the leader of a faction,and get some of these new young and ready guys a spotlight and a run by coming out and being in Mox's faction. It could make for some great storytelling as well. Also I know Mod has recently had a child,and had devoted a lot of his time when he's not at shows to his new child and family. But, I will say,that he really needs to start hitting the gym,and hard. If you take a picture of Mox a year ago,and put it next to the present, you'll see that he's let himself go,and quite a bit. I love Mox, he's a star,and one of,if not a main draw and help AEW get a whole new set of fans. But this is what , in my opinion,Mox needs. He really doesn't NEED to do any of that. But it's my opinion,that could make for more interesting TV,and the Mox that's back in shape to where he was when he showed up in AEW. It just makes the matches more believable. Rather than a superstar of his magnitude come out in the shape he's starting to let himself get into.
