I was in Calgary on fall as a tourist, every time I met them, I will bought them a food, water and money. Whatever peoples said negative about them, they still a human being and living in the lowest point of their lives.

Minsan kahit anung pilit ko hindi tlga para sakin, dahil lahat ng bagay ay may dahilan at sa ikakabuti natin. Minsan makikita mo ang kasagutan pagkatapos, at ito'y hindi ko po pinagsisisihan. I dont know why but canada has shelters and other programs that help these people. Even if u dont work, govt still give them money. They can have free food, clothing etc. But SOME people r stubborn they choose to spend money for drugs

That’s very true. I worked as a frontliner in a homeless shelter in Toronto, and we have a lot of programs , activities,interventions , financial assistance, access for legal aid , medical aid, counselling available, but some of them they choose to be on the street. Most of them are on the street during the day, and go back to shelters at night. Going to sheler is very accessible, we don’t require ID’s as some of them might not have identification, if they need place to stay, they will be provided right away. They will be provided with hot meals, clothings and hygiene kit upon admission, the rooms are pretty decent with clean sheets, blankets. Food prepared by dietitian and cooks are served 3 x4 times a day and meal prepared for them should be in accordance with Canada’s Dietary and Food Guide. Those with dietary restrictions are also provided like for people with diabetes. They are on the street it’s not because they are neglected by the government, they are on the street because they choose to.

There are a lot of agencies, private or government where homeless people can go for food, place to sleep, medical attention and financial support, but a lot of homeless people choose to be on the street.

In canada this is a revolving problem. root cause of this is drugs, there are some agencies that are willing to help them but they refuse. And pls. Even though they are homeless pls. Respect their privacy. I don't know what is the motive behind. But one thing is for sure if you get monetized by using their footage it will be unfair for them.

I agree with you. This is against individual ‘s privacy. Taking videos or photos of someone without their consent or permission is against the Protection and Privacy Act here in Canada. This vlogger should be aware of what he is doing ,just to get monetize, he can be in trouble.

Some of the illegal drugs are not easy to avail, and now a days since cannabis is just like an over the counter item, so they go for it the most, i see some before who used cannabis, when they use it for 7days straight (morning then they slept skipping meals then a followup in the evening) things goes different than normal individuals after a few months of using the same rhythm.

@@donmags167 weed is legal but you still have to pay. A lot of them get more creative in how they scavenge something for free. I take transit, and I’ve seen a plastic shopping bag full of what I realized from the smell was gasoline he siphoned out of someone’s car, and a paint can that had the top fall off where you can clearly see the ‘not to be inhaled’ sticker. I also had to go to the pharmacist’s counter to buy rubbing alcohol because they don’t have it on a shelf.

in a country like canada you would expect none of this and it starts from the top. just recently they closed a unit that helps mentally challenged in st. thomas ont so yet more on the street. you voted for this by the way because you said your vote mattered. this is what voting gets you.i once pointed this out to my good friend on my regular chat site i says to her peeps dont want their taxes to pay for helping the mentally challnged and she agreed lots dont want that. i have 16 years on and off in calgary and the last place you wanna be homeless is here. dont ask the govt in this province to help you they just wont. good thing the mayors of calgary have pet projects and it sure aint the homeless.

Canada spent over a billion dollars on homelessness this year and yet there are still homeless people on the street but the interesting fact is that there is about 36 million people in Canada and let's say maybe 1 to 5% are homeless so what happened to the billion dollars is the question???
