Wow, a new pen from Zebra, the G-350 gel pen. This is an upgrade from the class G-301 and sort of a competitor to the G-402. Most importantly, it's a precursor for the very cool looking G-450 ( unsharpen.com/pen/zebra-g-450... )!

The Jetstream rt and Zebra EQ refill fit this pen nicely for those that prefer ballpoint/hybrid ink.

Currently my favorite cheap pen. I like that it uses the larger JLV Sarasa gel refills rather than the JK Sarasa refills used in the 450/750, which write just as well IMO but hold much less ink.

My Grams has been using the skinny Zebra pens with the teeny barrels for years and I never liked them. I prefer a fatter grip. Definitely gonna try this 350 out since it looks like a good option for me.

Just got mine. I only wish they were heavier. I like the size though. The g402 is the lightest i prefer. I hope they follow through with a gel option for the f701.

Zebra is going to be releasing a G-750 soon as well. It's basically an all metal blacked out gel version of the 701. Pretty pumped...

Been watching a good portion of your videos, which led me to subscribe. For my job I write down a lot of data points. I bought a boker .45 cal pen because it looked pretty cool only to realize finding refills would be a lot harder than I wanted to put effort in to. A buddy I work with had a zebra F701 which felt really nice, so I ended up getting one of those thinking I'd have an easier time finding refills. It turns out I bought the one pen that just doesn't have gel refill option, which is unfortunate. So here I am, seeking your sage advice: Would you recommend this pen until the G-750 comes out, which appears to be the gel version of the F701? This pen is only 5 bucks, so it's not like I'm really fretting over the money, I'm just looking for a recommendation on a pen that can just accept a refill right out of the box. I also have a pen my s/o got for me made by a local woodworker in my area I've been struggling to find a gel refill for (would like to use it just for sentimental value, if nothing else, it is a decent pen after all.) The refill itself is around 3.8" long, which I believe should fit a good variety of gel refills of the metal variety.

Sal Got ‘em in hand. Like ‘em so much I ordered more. Great feel in the hand. Clicker is awesome. Super feedback while writing. Fastest drying ink I’ve ever seen. Seriously handsome design, especially the all black. It’s all good. I have XXL hands so the slightly larger than standard girth works perfectly. And it doesn’t have the stupid barcode graphic painted on it. It’s a clean machine!

Good review Sal. Enjoyed this like all the other videos. On a side note, I'm still waiting for Zebra to get their sh*t together and offer a gel refill for the F-701. It took waaaaaay too long for them to finally make the F-701 entirely metal. Maybe a G-701 is in the making......oh one can only hope.

Do not get the paper wet after you write on it with a G-350, ink bleeds like crazy, the G-301 does not do that but needs more ink in it. ETA: I checked the G-350 with a magnet and it is not steel.

I have this pen and I wasn't that impressed by it, its not horrible but I still prefer my Zebra G402 over the G350. Main problem for me is that the rubber grip isn't that grippy. As a solution I cut the rubber grip off and replaced it with a G402 one. Which is another downside of the G350 you can't replace the grips easily. Like on the G402s.

Yeah, the g402 is still most peoples’ preference from what I can tell. Hopefully the g750 will actually gets released this year. unsharpen.com/pen/zebra-g-750-gel-pen/

The plastic holding the clip broke, which confirmed my feeling that the build quality was not great. The refill is OK, but not as good as a Sarasa. I'd rather see an improvement on the G- 401's refill and a gel Fortia option. This new pen doesn't make sense to me.

@@unsharpen I really haven't had an issue with almost anything from Zebra, especially not the Steel series. In a world of low-end gel and ballpoint pens that look like Power Ranger accessories, the F-401 has an minimal, elegant, utilitarian design that should be the starting point and guiding spirit. I don't think a blacked-out version is necessary, just a better gel refill, engraved rather than printed text and maybe a better grip area.

The 350 series is pointless. The 402 is so much better. Zebra needs to bring back the M-402.
