There’s many mysteries in Shin Megami Tensei, Persona and Atlus in general. In this video we will explore some mysteries I’ve thought about from Shin Megami Tensei, Persona and Devil Summoner. Unfortunately I did have one answer but I literally lost my source so I couldn’t use that in the video so, Devil Summoner Soul Hackers’ “Wink Wink mystery” will stay that way for a little longer. However I did find solutions to other mysterious things relating to Shin Megami Tensei and Persona so I hope you like this quirky video.

Wink Wink could be an aspiring singer taking lessons at a studio that was scouted for this, or a VA looking to bolster their resume but not necessarily their credits. I've seen small game dev studios do the scouting thing, sometimes getting the aspiring singer to write the song themselves and then paying them in peanuts, or literally nothing (exposure). Could also be a friend or somebody otherwise connected to the studio that just wanted to go by an alias.

Thanks! I think it's a combination of my style, and my content just not meshing with everyone. If I talked about easier to digest topics more often like mythology or my opinions I think I'd get more attention but I really enjoy talking about the stuff no one really cares about lol

I'm guessing Isogai is referring to the boss fight against protag Kyouji at the end of the extra dungeon. He just kind of shows up, speaks some dots at you, then you fight him so it's not like it provides anything in the way of lore even if you consider the dungeon to be "canon."

If Toro still has his Persona in P2 in the demonstrably real world, do Ayase and Mark still have theirs? Like according to supplemental material, Ayase married a random salaryman, so is there just a bored housewife somewhere in Japan with the power to cast spells? Philemon doesn't have a return policy, it seems. Another related mystery I've wondered, is the girl in ST H who mentions being in the same dream room as the other students who saw him as the butterfly just rejected? If her and Toro are any indication, the guy approached more than our group to recruit, and they either played the Persona Game, or hadn't awoken yet?

Great video! I'll admit, I honestly had only thought about the last mystery, but got stuck on the exact sourcing of the art, so it was awesome to see a little more depth to that part :D As for my personal HC on our Kyouji, I'm pretty much with Isogai on this; I like to think he's still solving cases and kicking ass in Hirasaki City; average day for a DeviSama like him lol I even like to think that after Kumiko graduates uni (shortly after DeviSama 1), she goes and becomes his new partner (her interest in the occult would help with that lol), which frees Rei up to go accompany Kyouji to Amami City (cause we know he's a bit hopeless without her lmao) As for after that (in P2), idk, Rei's probably off on some other case (one hell of an incident to miss tho, smh), but at least 'Todoroki' has some kids to take care of now XD This turned into a bit of a ramble lol; Keep up the good work!! 👍

I have to agree. You practically have to align the very cosmos itself just to find some answers behind certain mysteries. And even then half of the time it is still a dead end. Or someone made it up or messed up a translation etc.

The first one reminds me of Kingdom Hearts everybody knows that Utada Hikaru performed Simple and Clean but the remix was by some producer named PlanitB. Who is PlanitB? This dude literally created one of the very few EDM tracks from 20 years ago that holds up today and just did a one and done for their music career.

It was incredibly common at that time for artists making Electronic Music at the time to have a multitude of different aliases, it was heavily present in Trance, and PlanitB is probably an alias, who would rather not have KH on their resume.
