@@ward893 The band was started by Ex-Vader guitarist and his wife Anna (the vocalist) and she acquired an illness that effected her nervous system along with her vocal cords in which neck and spine surgery is required.. She could no longer sing.

Heard them in Prague. I'm so sad they had not so many listeners, but they were just awesome! Love that heavy gothic metal. And also love the band, Mauser and Aya were so kind to answer my questions. Just love them and hope to see them again soon as headliner!

It's a real god damn shame what happened to this band. Anna apparently is suffering from a disease not revealed that affects her nerve system. At first, after Clinic for Dolls, her vocal chords were shot. Then it was revealed later that apparently it would be a miracle if she could walk again. As far as I know, she never revealed her illness fully and basically the band was forced to separate as she could no longer sing or perform. Very unique and wonderful band. I wish Anna and Mauser well and hope that one day they will be able to perform together. At least you could give us two fantastic albums to enjoy!

Ashetoyoursoul : That update was about a year or two ago. According to the post, she's basically had to quit music. At first it only affected her voice, in that she literally couldn't sing, she could barely talk. That was one of the last updates a long time ago. Then a year or so ago she posted that the disease affected her entire nervous center and would be lucky to even be able to really walk. So she was forced to retire. Very sad, however her husband is still in music with some other bands.

This is just my opinion, with all due respect I like Evanescence and Within Temptation but not all of their songs. But all the songs sung by Aya, I have been interested in , feel sad and lonely from before until now. Like telling stories and reminders. That's why whenever someone asks me why, I just answered, what makes the song liked or interested is not just a singer's voice or vocals. First, the meaning of the song is the lyrics themselves and what is the story behind the lyrics themselves. Second, is the singer's appreciation of the lyrics, To what extent do they understand and appreciate it (imagination if they are positioned behind the meaning of the lyrics or if it is their own experience only God knows) Here, For this singer, namely Aya herself, there are both of these aspects. For me it's almost perfect and the addition of her own style is very unique from other singers. Like this song comes from the old days like in this video, then it tells us a story and is updated with instruments like guitar, drums etc. Most of the time, their reaction must be a chuckle or a big laugh at my answer. As for my reaction, those who react like that are odd☕.

She wrote: "The illness I have is affecting my nervous system and there are a lot of bad things happening to my body at the moment. So now I am just dreaming about being able to walk and move and do things without pain, so forgive me for not dreaming about singing. I am currently waiting for the decision about my possible further treatment and one of the options is surgery in the neck/spine area, and I hope that, the successful surgery would resolve at least half of my problems. It was really hard to admit it but this will also free me somehow, hopefully.. Therefore, we decided to quit the band. Maurycy is still continuing with his writing and music making. He is currently working on his new project/band."

Jestem pod ogromnym wrażeniem nawet nie byłem świadom że tak dobrą muzykę tworzy się w naszym kraju. Wokal jest po prostu niesamowity. Gitara jak na Mausera przystało jest zajebista a razem brzmi to rewelacyjnie. I aż mnie dziwi że tak niedoceniacie tak dobrego zespołu. I love this song!!

fred UNSUN is Awesome! I like both albums quite a lot. Being a North American it's difficult to find bands that can write and perform "Gothic-Metal" worth a darn. Opera is a fat lady singing in Italian wearing a viking hat. Neither is the case. Whatever you want to call Unsun, I love the band. I even own their CD's.
