Gosh, so many memories. My school, Billy Smith's farm where I did all his hay as a teenager when Julie Goodyear lived there in a static caravan. I just smiled the whole film. I'm 14 again. Thankyou so much 😊😊😊😊😊

I loved this. I use to cycle to the Blue Dolphin chippy at Unsworth Pole. Also used to ride the ponies from Oak Gate up Pole Lane. Happy Memories.

Very nice, but the Unsworth I lived in between 1975 and 1980 wasn't quite this rural paradise. Why no shots of the Unsworth Pole, Parr Lane, and the pub and shops etc;

Because my late father shot this and he was working as a telephone engineer up the poles. And these cine cameras didnt have a lot of film.

Interesting, my last name is Unsworth and my G Grandfather came to the US In the 1800's as a deep mine coal miner and worked that field here in Pennsylvania along with my grandfather. From what I have learned he was from the Manchester area. It is funny that someone mentions a Dickie bird estate and my brothers name was Dick and my grandmother always called him Dickie bird. Is it true that an Unsworth killed the last dragon? 😀

It's not there now. They built a new school next to it and knocked down the old one. Problem is it now looks completely out of place.
