Watching this now and seeing how far you have come after all these years, it's just incredible. Would be an honour if I could train at your gym one day (one for the bucket list) and just want to say that I am really grateful for all the information that you have shared here and I am very sure a lot of people (like myself) has benefited a whole lot from all those videos. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your family! Train untammmmmmmmmmed~~~ 🤘🤘🤘

So fucking rad to look back on this. Could you imagine going back in time to garage Alan and saying "Guess what bud? You have a thriving business, an incredible wife, and you're a newbie daddy." I love your sense of humour and your content. By far one of my favourite youtubers to watch. I direct nearly all my clients to your videos. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Dude, if I lived in your area, I would for sure be a member of your gym. Your videos are some of the most informative I've seen. Just putting a couple of your cues to use, over the past month I've hit single and triple rep PRs on all three of my main lifts. You've got a fan down here in 'Bama.

+Alan Thrall buddy and myself are on our way to opening up a gym similar to those in the Los Angeles county area. Sick of all the Planet Fitness rules, and LA Fitness new "no bag in gym rule" + "no chalk" rule. Any tips on where we can find the cheapest farmer carry bars, and power lighting logs? You've come a long way and you're a source of that inspiration man. Congrats on how you've grown and your success.

Hey Alan! I am currently working to get a team of friends (trainers, coaches, health practitioners) together to build our own gym. Do you have any advice on where to find a warehouse or garage location? If there's a website to search, a realty company or just ride around town until I found a space? All the best! Congrats on all your success!

I wish we had gyms like that around here (I live in the Middle East). There is only one gym with a shitty squat rack and uneven floor in my area (all the rest have stupid smith machines). Never seen a gym with chalk.

Brother Alan Thrall i would like to listen your opinion here.First of all, you have done a great job, congratulations! It's in the back of my head to do sth like that one year now. I made my own ''home gym'' and thinking of making it ''business''. My feelings and emotions say YES but this damned logic and fucking maths say hell no.. I was always wondering if such awesome gyms, i like to call them training halls, can give a money profit to the owner. First it has to do with a limited number of people- trainees with specific ''advanced'' goals. I mean, not the ordinary lazy people of planet fitness etc.So if you have to pay rent and other bills (electricity, water etc) month in- month out, maybe another trainer or someone like that to help you, maybe someone or a group of people to clean the place (ok you can do it alone), pay sth random that came suddenly along the way (eg sth broken) and i don't know what else, plus the starting budget for the equipment..What happens in the end? Do you make money from this? You have to do sth extra (personal training etc) in order to balance everything? Yeah, we both know that first of all we do it 'cause it's our passion. For the love of the sport. For the athletes, For all those who have been kicked out of commercial gym because they droped a barbell.. But practically can you live just from this. Can you cope with bills without already having a good financial budget.. People always tell me that you start from a ''minus'' for the first 3-4 years and then start to balance..I wish you the best! Your sence of humor is incomparable!
