It should be noted, that in the new Model 3 (a year after this video was made), Tesla has replaced this system with the Model Y's Octovalve and heat pump. It's need to look at this, because the Octovalve is clearly a more advanced evolution of the Superbottle.

Yiep. But extremely complex

You're right dude. This channel has posted the video series on Tesla Octovalve. That series helped me to understand the highly complex concept of the octovalve.😀

My TM3P 2020 has Superbottle replaced last April 2023 so I’m good till 2027 . Rear battery replaced August 2020 then they replaced all upper lower and back arm suspension in warranty. So I’m very happy. Last year I did the 4 year maintenance which cost me 480€ . I’m so happy with this car . It’s almost a 100k km . I’m 99,269km 😂

The refrigerant is R134A , Not R314A.

I am always curious to know how OEM's maintain battery temeperature when the Ambient is quite hot suppose 40 - 45 deg C and the car is parked under the sun (not plugged). In this case batteries under high temp can degrade sooner.

at 12:10, the chiller is cooling down the hot water. Where does the hot water come from?
@alarjak3 жыл бұрын
From hot battery.

Much more simple than Octovalve.

Not sure about fast charging. Why is fast charging required?
@mostlymessingabout3 жыл бұрын
Do you want to wait 3 days for your car to charge?
@deniskalugin79843 жыл бұрын
@@mostlymessingabout yes, fast charging saves the time....but is it good for the very battery?
@mostlymessingabout3 жыл бұрын
@@deniskalugin7984 it's for convenience. The same as driving faster. Driving at 70mph consumes more fuel per mile but gets you there faster than 55mph. For most people home charging is better. Fast charging with good thermal management is only "slightly" worse dor the battery. But without active cooling you end up with Nissan Leaf Rapidgate issur

1 How much time the valves has to open. 2 what should be the rate of flow of coolant 3 How is the car driving now 4 what is the temperature of motor and battery right now.. Etc All these things are taken by software and gives required instructions for valves and pumps
@adithyagolwalkar78964 жыл бұрын
Correct?
@UntangleClub4 жыл бұрын
Everything is correct. Just pumps are not smart enough to control flow rate.
