Love everything in this podcast, every single thing! I had the exact same thought about the Drawing sweater as my first 2023 cast on, it is gorgeous and will require my brain power! Your test knit has me intrigued, the stitch pattern looks so yummy, just might be too much for me at this time. For 2023 I’m going to shop my stash and pattern library, I have SO much and really want to embrace all of it and stop getting distracted with the newest releases and yarns. I also do the “saving special skeins” for just the right project….why??? I want to knit it as a priority. Thanks for hanging out!

I really want to make that Drawing Sweater too! I need to finish a baby sweater for my grandson for Christmas first. I'm trying to run more too! But because I live in CT and work full time, I just do a few miles a week on the treadmill. However, I watch knitting podcasts at the same time!

We have so many things to be grateful for. Having survived a serious trauma accident I so appreciate that I can knit and the enjoyment that comes from that.

Hi Lily I'm also knitting a Northland sweater for my husband! I'm using a natural undyed dark browny grey woolly wool from a local (Australian) dyer which is meant to be DK but is actually more a worsted. I love the pattern which was quite hard to find, only being on Petite Knit's Ravelry store, not on her other page under sweaters..after seeing it on her Instagram. I agree there's a lack of elegant simple unisex sweaters but I'm really enjoying this construction and I'm getting gauge on 4.5m needles which makes a change from my other fingering and laceweight projects - its hot in Sydney! but we are moving to the country to a cooler climate so he's asked for a warm jumper as we call them here. Anyway thrilled to see your Northland

love hearing your thoughts about body image/ exercise and how garment makers can find healing in the process! Diet culture and clothing sizing make it really hard to feel good about body changes, and I've definitely found a lot of peace in specifically making garments for my body instead of expecting to change my body for specific garments. Great episode!

I really enjoy your podcast but there seems to be a lot more ads than other podcasts I watch. I wonder if you might check your settings for this as it's very off putting. You certainly knit with a lot of very beautiful yarns !

I thought it was just me. I usually watch on my computer where I have Adblock installed and never see KZbin ads. But I'm watching on my iPad today and getting ads every 5 min.
