I really like the way you guys incorporated the idea of characters having multiple fates and branching paths in the game by having time itself reset... like a player starting a new game and trying something different. It's a novel way to keep the spirit of the game alive and makes the film feel like a sequel of sorts.

​@@karinneeskens The film seems to be a spiritual adaptation of the game rather than a straight adaptation. The game's narrative is linear, but it has a butterfly-effect gameplay system that encourages the audience to replay the game multiple times to see who lives and dies with each playthrough. The film seems to have adapted these themes into the Groundhog Day formula, which seems to be a wise choice for a film. That way, we get the various story elements from the game (the Psycho, the Wendigos, etc.) while having the characters making different choices with each loop they experience. Tldr; they adapted the butterfly effect gameplay mechanic into a Groundhog Day film formula, and seem to be doing their own thing in terms of characters and story while using familiar locations and villains

On the one hand, I love the game. On the other hand, the game relies on twists that I already know l, so a direct adaptation would be boring and less fun than playing. It also felt like an entry in a horror series, where each sequel would use the format, but tell different stories. Therefore a different story for the adaptation, that keeps the multiple endings idea going, makes sense. This adaptation looks intriguing, and I like the time-loop aspect as a way to do different endings.
