People underestimate the amount of detail and Easter eggs MGSV has. Try moving past a guard in a cardboard box a few times and always escape before they get alerted. After a while they will call command and say they saw a Box moving. Command tells him to take a psych test lol

It reminds me of kids shows when we were a kid. Specifically Mister Dressup. Mr Rogers and The Friendly Giant did piano like this too, but they were usually more lowkey, and Sesame Street was too hyper, but Mister Dressup lived in this kind of low stakes lowkey slapstick (and did live background music instead of being done in post, iirc), and the pianist sounded JUST LIKE THIS I SWEAR.

i will never forget the rush i felt upon picking up the bell and realizing sneaking was no longer an option. from that point on, you’re going to have to use every goosey trick you have to make it back, and there are no more shortcuts. it was as satisfying as any big test moment in a game, you really feel that “oh shit, things just got harder” beat. finding the bell stash at the end (or if you’re like me, at the beginning) makes it even better. the implication that this is a cycle, and every time you play the game you are repeating events that this horrible little goose has been doing for ages is simply fantastic. yet every time, the challenge of the bell is fresh. that is great game design, period

The sound design of this game is truly one of my favourite things. Honking when you have a glass on your beak is so damn satisfying, and I couldn't stop doing it. It's also interesting as I can even see the Mr Bean influence of the silent physical comedy in this game I was actually in America when I got to play this, and I love how distinctly homey and English it felt in comparison to my surroundings at the time It was strangely relaxing to play because of this There was so much effort and polish put into this game, and it really shows in its quality A far cry from the typical simulation parodies where the humour did just lie in janky controls and it's lack of polish The way the damn goose even moved was just so cute as well

Untitled Goose Game has something small in common with Mario Odyssey. The game is designed around a logic of: “if you see it, you can do something with it.” In Mario Odyssey you might try to wall jump two random walls and often find coins on top of them, even if you go off track or by doing self imposed challenges like: traveling to a certain point with the bullet bill you can find a moon. Goose Game does something similar. You see a bell, you ring it to make a guy spit his tea out. Find a harmonica? You can quack to make it play.
