Great talk. I interviewed Marco Adda who specializes in studying and researching street dogs or stray dogs on my channel if you are interested in learning about these dogs.

If either of you are interested, I lived in Grenada for a year. The Grenada SPCA had a traveling vet program where you could stay with them, exchange your services for a place to stay. Might also be a guest speaker at St George's School of Veterinary Medicine? (They also have one medicine - we would set up clinics for the local residents and their pets). Worked with Pothounds Against Pregnancy while I was there too. We would round up and spay/neuter the dogs at the vet school then drop them off the next day. All the residents were thrilled as were the dogs because they always came back much more personable with all the loving the vet students provided. Lot of times the dogs seemed unowned, but you could usually find who the owner actually was. Very few were unowned. Luckily, they were usually very shy compared to the stray dogs in India, i believe. For some reason, I've heard they are more aggressive to people than in other countries. Of course rabies is one of the issues that comes up, especially in foreign countries, with dogs running loose. Hope that helps.

I'm interested in your feedback on the question of. Do pitbulls by nature like to fight for the fight itself? Wallace Craig said no animal likes to fight. I guess is you will say they fight for basically reactive or proactive (for some type of reward). For me the answer's simple they don't LIKE to fight. What does the science say on this?

I am interested in that too. For example, in China, many animals are bred for fight. There are several 'ilegal' gambling activities and animals are raised and bred for that purpose. And I watched these videos since they are openly available in chinesw social media. And honestly....they do seem to love to fight. Because they are raising dogs that are good and love wrestling, not killing. Which is a very different M.O. compared to a livestock guardian that is trying his best not to resort to a battle or killing of a potential predator.

@@dogsfromthecity thanks for your response, and note that I changed my question to..."like to fight for the fight itself", which is not to be a justification even if the answer were to be yes. Obviously just because an animal likes to do something, it does not mean we should allow it to. Simple example, dogs like to eat but eating the wrong thing or eating too much can be bad for its health.

I didn’t hear much about the conc en from the public around the bully breeds. What about the inbreeding going on that contribute greatly to unstable and aggressive behavior? The Kimbo line is being identified as a problem line within the bully breeds. It’s a legit concern but what I heard was Misidentification and maybe a specific breed might be of a concern. But the welfare of the dogs aren’t considered in this discussion either.

Very cool conversation. As someone who really wants to have a dog, maybe even working WITH dogs, the part of freedom worries me a lot. I don't know how to choose a breed and make it compatible with me living in an apartment and having a tendinitis that limits my own ability to roam and wanting a dog that has stamina for me to train a lot of different things. If anyone knows where I could find help with my choise I would appreciate that!

Seems like a golden or labrador would be ideal. Strong to support and help, highly trainable and adjust to different lifestyles depending on the lineage and what they are being selected for.

The problem is dog professionals downplaying the issue of XL bullies.
