I mean, not sure how many surprises will be over there in Pak upon your return. but statistically most of Intel officials (from diff agencies in pak) after retiring from crucial positions are keeping quiet and settled here in Europe and roam freely and safely like any normal local. p.s, wishing great health to you and your wife.
