A truly seasoned criminal investigator expert with untarnished integrity. I give him credit on ihis emphasis that, the CID Team succeeded on BHC corription investigation largely due to the Botswana political leadership will. It goes without saying that political will is the crux of a successful fight against corruption in this country.

This was such an eye-opening discussion! 👏 To truly fight corruption, Botswana needs to ensure anti-corruption bodies are independent and well-resourced. That means stronger legal protections, no political interference, and enough funding to do their job properly. Transparency, whistleblower protection, and public engagement are also key-because corruption affects us all! 🇧🇼💙 We need real action, not just talk. Let’s hold leaders accountable and push for a stronger system! #AntiCorruption #Botswana #GoodGovernance

Rre Katholo a man of integrity and true character of the rule of law. It is never easy to stand fast to the rule of law if you are opposed by the very people who put you in that DG chair. You are a true patriot

Mr. Katholo explained clearly how the case of guns was investgated and closed. He further disclosed that the butterfly case was not properly investigated since it involved the foreign countries, therefore it not given enough time. Political will was not there from his principals.

If DCEC is not granted security of tenure it will forever remain a government office which can be weaponized by any incoming president for their political interests. If it remains linked to the PSP office, what it would mean basically is, the DCEC can function on any individual except those in the PSP office and PSP office protected sphere.

Since it's inception how many cases have DCEC successfully closed. It will be important to list them all

Batswana le rata go dikologa seolo....As long as the BDP led Botswana was a rubber stamp government there is no need in complimenting former officials as Tymon Katlholo & the likes...INTROSPECT...coz ba paletswe ke go ntsha maduo @ DCEC. Almost every corrupt alleged case is left suspended and vanishes in thin air for instance 1.(Seleka Springs : Khama) 2.(BDC : Blackie Marole, Charles Tibone) 3.(CMB Bona LiFe : Carter Morupisi) 4.( Sadiq Kebonang: Majwe Mining) 5.(NPF)...etc etc etc
