I love Matthan. Matthew and Nathan are both wonderful names, but so popular, especially Matthew, which has been super popular for as long as I can remember - and I do still love Matt as a nickname, so it's good that you could use this for Matthan. It reminds me of Mason too, so could be an alternative to that. Amos is one of my favourite Biblical names, but not sure if that is as unusual as it used to be. I hear it mentioned quite a lot nowadays, comparatively. Amos and Arrow were our canaries' names, and now both are being talked about as baby names. Amos was Amy originally, but - well, "she" was really a boy, and so I suggested to my husband that we should change the name to Amos. I really grew to love it. Anyway, great video - look forward to the girls' one. 😃

Amos is one of my favourites as well. I love it soooo much, it's even been in my top 10 before! It's currently at number 678 on the top 1000, and was given to 373 boys in 2016! So it's not ridiculously popular or anything!

I came across this video last year when I was pregnant and around April/May and I ended up choosing the name zedekiah and giving him the middle name Ezri for my son he was born 6/20/19 :) and his Nick name is Zed & Zeddy Bear 😁 so neat coming back to this video . Currently Ttc 😁 and I’m jotting my fav names down again and I remember loving a lot of these ! So nostalgic coming back 🥰🥰

Oh, Matthan and Zadok are so beautiful! I might be obsessed with the latter now. And Zedekiah is such an amazing name as well, I love its spelling in English. However, in Spanish it's written Sedecías and I don't really like it that way haha. I have a friend called Nahum, and I always thought he had such an amazing name! Don't know how popular it is over there, but I can assure you it's not very popular here ;) Can't wait for the girls one! :D

I love the name Nyjah (like the pro skater Nyjah Houston) that is derived from Adonijah! Also, when I was pregnant we seriously considered the name biblical name Adriel- meaning flock of God/congregation of God- as one of the potential names for our son, however when he was born he looked nothing like an Adriel so we went with Evan Gabriel instead. I love the feel of Zedekiah!

I would suggest something like: August Emerson, Emmett Jude, Micah Ellis, Arlo Julius... I would take a look at names between 200 and 500 for boys, there are so many great names that are really in your style right in that range, and they aren't too popular but aren't unheard of. Some others you might consider: Rhett, Brooks, Knox, Felix, Tobias, Milo, Reid, Archer, Spencer, Leon, Manuel, Lane, Walter, Enzo, Edwin, Grady, Atticus, Gregory, Matias, Desmond, Abram... For Girls... A sister for Finley, Noah and Beau could be Margaret, Eden, Molly, Cecilia, Arabella, Daisy, Juliette, Eloise, Tessa, Gemma, Vera, Zara, Freya, Elle, Daphne, Margot, Willa, Beatrice. You could do something more spunky like Nova or Petra or something classic like Charlotte or Catherine! Either style would fit in with the boy's names!

Great video! Can't wait for the girls video, there are so many cool names here! I like Aquila, Zedekiah (amazing that's not more popular!), and Kemuel, but my favorite on this list is Tiras. It fits right in with the sounds parents are loving lately, I've never heard it before this video and I'm already ready to add it to my list! Also, how do you find the number of births for names that have never been in the top 1000 on SSA? I'm having trouble navigating that website, if I type in a name that has never been in the top 1000 it doesn't give me any information. Thank you!

You have to go to www.ssa.gov/oact/babynames/limits.html and download either the national or state specific data. If will download as a zip file. You can view it for every year since 1880. I will take all the names for a certain year, copy it into a word document and select all and number it. So then I can see all the names given to 5 or more babies for a certain year. It's a bit of a labor intensive process, but it's worth it if you want to see all the names (I don't do it for every year, just the most recent ones, like 2016, 2015 and 2014.

Adonaijah means Lord Yah. Yah being short for God's name. Adonai is Lord in Hebrew. The Jewish people say Adonai instead of God's name every time it comes up in the bible, which is extremely often (every time you see LORD in all caps it's actually God's name)

I actually know a guy named Zebulon and he does go by the nickname Zeb. I also know a guy named Zion and that could also be another biblical name. Ezri is such a cute name and I've always loved the name Ezra, and Ezra was one of my favorite characters off of Pretty Little Liars!! Jubal for an unusual girl name could be Jubilee (which is also biblical). I have a second cousin named Kenaniah which you can have the nickname Kenan and that's also a biblical name.
