Why is no one talking about Nadal and his doping traits? He has displayed abnormalities time and again, was heavily linked if not implicated to the doctor who helped cyclist Armstrong doped. He even took a banned substance to treat his knee after given special dispensation. I don’t understand why a special dispensation is given in the first place... if a substance is banned, it should be banned all the time. No exception!

They all pretty much dope, some way or another. I researched it for a college paper, Jim Courier (early 90s top pro) hit the nail on the head basically saying "even my best year, I couldn't play firing on all cylinders all year long like guys are now...". Incredibly grueling demanding sport. Sure, there's more diet knowledge and sport specific drills, etc but that can only help so much. They need the best stars to shine. Just look at Federer. How the heck do you play At Top Level until age 40 & body finally gives out? Talent, mental strength, hard work and loving the game do a Lot, but they have to be taking something to make tennis this physical & be able to go on like an enigizer bunny for 5 sets

@@Dman9fp let’s not talk about who might or might not have doped. I am talking about actual leaks that suggest Nadal did take banned substance and no one bat an eye. Even Nadal didn’t deny about the fancy bear leaks but said that “if it was allowed then it must be legal”. The question is why it was allowed in the first place. Also, according to Guardian, he “retrospectively” received the exemption… meaning he took the meds without having been permitted. How was that even allowed? If I took some candies from a candy bar and retrospectively paid for them two weeks later… does that make me lesser of a shoplifter? You can think federer is a junkie but there’s no proof. He was never implicated in any sports leaks but Nadal is.

@randomcon123 I'm not calling anyone a "junkie". Anyone can take performance enhancing drugs but still most people will not play tennis anywhere near as great. Just saying what seems to be the case in all general probability

That’s been the problem in many sports. Some of these stars are just too big to lose. That’s why Nadal never had to defend himself even when there were abnormalities over the years. I mean, why the hell was he even given special dispensation for a banned drug anyway

Very interesting topic graceful Grace , so the ITF would silence sentence the players using illegal substance . on youtube some are saying that Nadal and Federer were silently sentenced took 5 to 6 months ban , that they were not injured , same for Djokovic Wawrinka and others , it seems that the ITF found out about the players doping not from the urine tests but from a spanish doctor client list which was given to them in secret . it was quite surprising to see so many top players injured at the same time , the ITF should have managed the crisis by separating the banned players in 2 groups in order to keep the business going as usual !!!!!

The story started when Djokovic fired his whole team , then we saw Federer and Nadal very close to each other after being ( injured ) like sharing a secret , of course some injuries are real but where are the photos at the hospital in case of surgeries ? money is killing all sports so I wana make sure that the tennis we are seeing is real , something is telling me from experience that something is wrong with the old guys performing better the kids where the speed of the older players coming from ? sooner or later we will know the truth but we need to stand up for our sport and raise question , Mc enroe talked Fed physical fitness but he is part of the system he can not denounced it , Serena Federer Nadal are great but they took the tennis away from us now they have each a whole team behind them which is ridiculous , honestly I want the new guys to come and compete and to make a living out of tennis as well we don/t want to see Real and Barca in tennis Ronaldo and Messi are on the spanish doc list for doping !!!

These are taking sides with the younger players and lynching the older gen players like rafa serena etc... in the men's game the youngsters are so badly behaved that their game/attitude/general comportment are more suspect than those of Rafa...Fed...Djoko... the younger folks seem more likely to take to such tricks... than the seniors... how easily these comment posters target the ones that win and defend the losing so called "young" players...also and more importantly these analysts should tell us exactly how these performance enhancing chemicals work... long term or even medium term use would lead to serious health disorders... that is not happening to any of these so called abusers.. if these guys cannot explain the workings of the chemicals vis-a-vis winning... they should shut up or the rest of the world should just ignore them... these are like barking dogs...they rarely bite... they just create these faceless...anonymous reports - wonder which of the 2 is uglier... them or their reports...?

i don't think sharapova was fair...she was already on the drug BEFORE it was banned..........it is possible that they never knew..or found out just to late........if i remember correctly it was prescribed to help her breathing......
