There are videos of gorillas killing little baby gorillas just because they see them as a future threat. Lions do that as a rule too. If a cub is not their own, the lion will brutally kill the cub without a second thought and then mate with the mother to make her have his own cubs. I'm just bringing these up as I can't stand when people place animals up on some childish oversimplified pedestal like this is the lion king and as if they think all wild animals have the voice and mind of mufasa. It's just childish thinking. There are wonderful, loving human beings who also possess sense, despite what some people would like to believe.

@jay29jay787 ай бұрын

@josephburns84007 ай бұрын
It’s bc these two families are already established with a silverback n his few females n offspring so it’s uncommon that they cross paths in the same territory n also uncommon to fight for dominance between two big families. At this point they would just fight bc a squabble happened between some young ones of each troop n the silverbacks are fighting to protect n establish order. But it’s uncommon that two silverbacks of large troops will fight for dominance bc they already have families n the fight for dominance usually happens when a lone silverback or a alpha silverback from a bachelor group is looking to take over another silverbacks family to gain multiple females at one time instead of finding a lone female which is rare bc it’s very dangerous for them out on their own. But when these fights take place it’s usually a lot worse bc if the outside silverback(s) take over an established troop then they will kill all the infants to bring the females back into estrus so they’ll mate again and sever the old bloodline so he can start his new bloodline , n also bc he has no intention on putting his own safety on the line to raise n protect another’s offspring but this is the way it is in the entire animal kingdom. However they have been known to find orphaned young in the wild n adopt them, which is very amazing n unusual for wild animals
@dldudley617 ай бұрын
@@josephburns8400Sounds like a lion pride
@josephburns84006 ай бұрын
Like I said all these actions are normal in all animal species that live in family units n a lot of them are normal even with solitary animals. If solitary males run into a female in his territory with young, most males will kno if her offspring is his so he’ll let them be n even protect them from another outside male bc he knows he’s protecting his bloodline ! Some however will kill them anyway just to make sure, then mate with her again so in his mind he’s continuing his bloodline. Over the last several years alot of the big cats are evolving. The scientists n biologists who are monitoring these cats are seeing big changes recently. Like with lions who are mostly forming coalitions with their brothers or sometimes an outsider and they’re taking over a few prides n decide amongst each other which one is the dominant king for each pride but they all equally look out for n protect each pride n it’s a big reason their numbers are rising. The solidarity species like tigers, leopards n jaguars are spending more time doing what I mentioned before by staying closer bu out of sight of the females that are raising his young more so now rather than killing some of them usually the males bc they can be future competitors for his territory n other females. And the mountain lions all around the world but mostly in Europe n South America are joining in hunts and sharing kills with unrelated other pumas bc they must realize that their food sources n habits are becoming more scarce so they’re helping their own species to survive

We’re healthier than any of our ancestors, regardless of obesity. Taller on average, more muscle (when you keep physically exercising). Looking good.
